Phone charges extremly slowly when plugged in via USB to PC (Tried 8 diff USB ports)
Charges at least 4x faster when in the wall..

Its normal.
Wall provides more power than USB.
Yeah but would that work on my S3, its got a 3 sim and it's a unlocked Vodafone rom.

It used to charge faster from USB than it does now, A lot faster iirc.

The wall socket (the charger that came with it) charges it up at 1.0a, USB (PC) charges it up at .5a. If it was charging via USB at 1.0a then something was wrong with the USB port on your PC or you have port/set of ports that output 1.0a+ by design.
Is it possible to root it and flash it with the stock ICS and then get the normal JB update when it arrives?
Cant be bothered and don't want all there bloatware, id rather flash the 3 version as long as it dont knacker up the warranty.
I'm pretty sure it is but I'd wait for someone else to confirm.

No it won't. I had CM10 on mine and still got it replaced by CPW when WiFi broke. Flash back to stock and off you go.
If you're flashing one of these stock ROMs then you're fine anyway.

You can reset the counter so you can't tell its been flashed or rooted anyway so whats the harm?
Also, my S2 had a sodding great yellow warning triangle when you'd rooted it and flashed it etc, that doesn't seem to happen with the S3.

Thats odd, the carriers are usually late to the seen with updates and unlocked/international handsets usually get it first, wonder why Samsung are messing the release up

Has this been released across all carriers or is it just 3 only for the time being?
I've got it downloaded now, but dont know what to do next
Apologies, I was away all morning....
I can't see why Samsung would care if it is an official 3 ROM that is on it or an official Voda ROM that is on it. They both come from Samsung, its not as if you are flashing a custom ROM or rooting etc.
