***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Its says Im running 4.1.2. I'm not into ROM's and all that stuff. I just update when it pops up.

I'm not running any customer kernels as far as I know.

My gallery application keeps crashing in the last few days - like every time I open it and click a folder it just crashes and hangs for 30 seconds.

Anyone else had this problem? I've tried clearing the cache of the app etc but no luck (i've restarted as well)

Looks like there wont be any new versions of crDroid after 17.1. The developer killed his S3 and has now got a Nexus 4.

The latest rom is very nice.

Hi guys big problem here with my S3. Woke up yesterday morning and it had died. Tried switching it on, nothing. Tried 3 different charger cables and adapters, nothing not even the charge screen. Took battery out for 10 mins put it back in still nothing! This thing wont turn on. Tried my flatmates S3 batters in mine, nothing. Any ideas how to fix this? How can a healthy phone literally die overnight?

The exact same thing happened to mine this morning!!!
It was fine last night and this morning dead. Tried pretty much everything you did and still dead!
Took it down to the orange shop and it's being sent away for repair. **well reading the small print it's "repair or replace with a like for like refurb model"
Real pain in the **** as it seems I've saved ALL contacts to the phone and not the sim...:(

I'm coming to the end of my 24 month contract with O2 and am still really enjoying my GS2 especially since the update to JB. I'm thinking of going sim only for £16 a month which gets me 600 minutes, 500mb and unlimited texts. A big difference compared to the £36 I'm paying presently (the joys of being an early adopter!).

However, for £22 I can get a similar tariff and a GS3 over 24 months.

My question is, is it worth changing now to the GS3? I know its a good phone but will there be that much difference to my current phone. I have also read a few comments about the casing not being very robust which has put me off a bit too.

thats not bad for £20 with the s3 , dont think you should be paying more than £20 a month for a s3 now, id say £18 maybe if you haggle

Wont be an update for a while as he killed his S3, he is looking at a few weeks to get it fixed - if at all :(

There's also a jkay deluxe lite http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40765620

Still having problems with crDroid. The phone struggles to wake up half the time (I press the power button and it takes a good 2-3 seconds for the screen to turn on). Music playback also stutters when the screen is off.

I'm using Siyah kernel, with stock clock speeds. Might try a different kernel..

Just updated to Temasek V99 and it's ridiculous. I love CM! Been having a play with the navigation bar settings and I like it so much more than hardware keys! I honestly didn't think I would but I do! I loveow they take uup a bit of screen estate on this phone so I won't be keeping them but this phone would be so much better without hardware keys! My next phone I'm seriously considering will have to have a navigation bar especially when you can expand the desktop at a touch of a button!
