***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Haha I think I must have panicked when I woke up and saw all my apps have been redownloaded and it was the stock launcher. I think the new google play store has redownloaded all my apps, maybe as the apps could have been a backup. I think it's all good now. I have been having problems with the battery not charging though so going to keep a close eye on it.

Not on Vodaphone are you?

No T-Mobile. Unlocked phone though. I wake up in the morning and it says it's still charging but won't go over 40%. I have to drain the battery right down and charge it up again. It doesn't always happen but when it does it's annoying. Like I said I will keep a eye on it and if it does it this week I will pop into a store and see what they say.

What modem version are you running as there was a fix a few modems ago for the battery not charging problem.

Do you run a stock rom? or is it a custom rom?

How are people installing the Barclays and natwest banking apps on the phone once rooted and on a custom rom? I'm struggling to figure out if it will work before I make the plunge

Natwest one works perfectly fine on rooted & custom rom :) As far as I know the Barclays one won't work with rooted/custom rom.

Natwest one installed from the Play Store. My friend banks with Barclays & said it doesn't work on his rooted phone.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully I should have some time tonight to sort everything out for my first custom rom. I'm either going for wanamlite or cyanogenmod 10.1. I really want to make this phone as usable as I can instead of the browser and other apps reloading all the time and the home screen lag etc. though I do like the Samsung additions to stock android

Final question, with all roms, guessing I need to flash google apps separately? :D

Right chaps, think I made a monumental **** up. Loaded up wanamlite and everything looks the same!

All my apps are there, no files deleted etc. But S voice is gone cos I deselected it on the Aroma installer thing which popped up when I installed the ROM via clockworkmod?

Oh you have to wipe sysem cache and dalvik cache? How do I do that? The Xda thread wanam made didn't really state that! I used the clockworkmod 6.0.3.1 touch version. I managed to go through the Aroma installer again and deleted a few other samsung stuff other things and got the new notification toggles.

So lucky! I was about to press it as well! So far it seems like the phone is stable enough for my needs but I still get too much browser reloading so might try cyanogenmod 10.1 which might be lighter on Ram!
