Hi, I just flashed JB 4.1.1 on my mates S3 which was on ICS 4.04. Now it won't make any calls and On status it says for service state "out of service"

I'd guess the rom you flashed didnt have a radio and It's over written / removed the previous one
 
can confirm the rom i flashed has been really smooth

infact as good as my nexus 4

if not smoother and considering the lack of ram its a result

How is it different from any other CM10.1 based rom built from source?

What has he done to achieve this? I hate it when devs make claims but don't outline what they've actually done. Most of the time it's just a custom kernel built by someone else :p

The fact that he didn't even know about the S3 camera bug with AOSP roms makes me question it..
 
running the anker 4400 battery

i am currently at 67% 10 hours on battery with 3 hours and 35 mins screen on time

i have been playing a lot of games so think this is pretty good
 
Ok this is going to be an odd question and quite possibly something related to my situation - But my signal sucks in the house like 0-1 bars and is constantly on edge or whatever, rarely see H or 3g - This is with Vodafone, But heres the kicker my GF's phone is a BB curve or something similar on Vodafone with full signal all the time in the same house, phones sitting in the same area , she also had a HTC desire a few months ago and again that had full signal and H internet.

Now does that sound like my S3 is faulty or something firmware related, on the latest mc2 (doubt its the latter) - Just wondering if anyone else noticed it happening.
 
Anyone else put slimbean on their phone, I think it's fantastic and has given it a new lease of life to steer me away from S4
 
Can anyone recommend a better email app? The standard one really lets down the experience for me and is so far behind the iOS email app its crazy.

I have multiple accounts from my own hosting and not hotmail or that jaz!

Woke up this morning and my phone seems to have reverted to stock rom! All my apps have redownloaded. So confused as to how this has happened.

OK maybe it hasn't. It has redownloaded all my apps. I think it's still Wanamlite rom. I'm really confused.

Haha I think I must have panicked when I woke up and saw all my apps have been redownloaded and it was the stock launcher. I think the new google play store has redownloaded all my apps, maybe as the apps could have been a backup. I think it's all good now. I have been having problems with the battery not charging though so going to keep a close eye on it.
