Temasek rom is basically the same as installing cm

But you'll need to do a full wipe coming from stock cm as it is very very different :)

Come on guy, hop aboard the Temasek Express hehe

is there a very good set of instructions for updating to Temaseks ROM ? Cyanogenmod was fairly easy but there was not a lot for me to do.

Upgrade wise is exactly the same just make sure you do a full wipe and your recovery is up to date.

Temasek ROM is the way to go. Such a good stable ROM!

well spent the best part of an hour trying to get the bloody phone to connect to my PC, decided on another route to get the ROM and gapps file copied over. CWM has been loaded which again was a PITA, think my PC has been knacked by the kids :p Anyway onwards and upwards shall report back my success or otherwise.

Just download the ROM via WiFi and use a file explorer to move it from the internal memory to your sdcard. Well that the way I do it anyway lol.

all done, in fact it was easy peasy. As for the rom itself I can see some extra settings but on the surface it looks just like CM. Will have a play around!

Essentially it is the same, just the fact that Tema has added some extras from several different sources. Kind of the best of everything!

Already having issues :o For me it's running sluggish and my home button/lockscreen doesn't work

Did you read the release notes Tema posted on twitter? Saying that on first boot you need to set the long press delay on the back and home buttons or they will not work properly?

Most issues can be solved by a full system wipe.

How did you flash, did you just drop it over the top or did you wipe system, pre load, dalvik and cache before flashing the ROM?

Not following him on Twitter, am now though.

Backing up my stuff then doing a full wipe and dalvik and cache clean then will try it again

You can't revert from v52+ back to v50 without issues... the multi-sim changes a lot of the core files, so if you DO want to roll back to v50 you will definitely need a full wipe

Other than that, I was having some acore process FC's after installing v59, plus all my contacts had disappeared... but a reboot fixed that and I've had no problems since :)

As a little hint to people, if you go into Developer settings and scroll right to the bottom, change the background process limit to a maximum of 4

I've not had any multitasking issues but it definitely keeps it running smoother and slightly more responsive than having it get cluttered by 8 background processes :)
