Just checked and MK6 is the latest Unbranded ROM, to be honest you would be better getting Temasek's latest ROM on there as its awesome compared to the generic Samsung Rubbish!, see my Sig for details ;)

As Bigboy has said try another ROM as it vastly improves the performance on the S3 compared to Samsung touchwiz ROMs.

I use Temasek too but if you want something that is not a nightly then I'd look at Slimkat (which is fairly similar).
 
defo custom rom on an S3 the stock rom is just painful in comparison. However upgrade time is nearly here and I think I will be hiving this off to eldest son and getting something else. Sony Z3 is looking good for me at the moment or the nexus 6 but its mahoosive by all accounts so a wee play in the shops is in order.

Hmm wonder how long it will before a Android lollipop makes its way via a custom rom to the S3 :)
 
Does anyone have any information on Android L/Lollipop (Android 4.5) coming to the GT-i9300? (Of course I mean unofficial ROMs as official is locked to 4.3 Jelly Bean, which hopefully gets upgraded to something at a later date within the future).

As soon as Cyanogenmod creates a 5.0 ROM it will no doubt be ported to the s3

Samsung have said that without a doubt there will be no more software for the s3 as of December it will be an end of line device.

Could so worse than CyanogenMod. It's very nice and seems at least as good as the official ROM for battery life.

Difficult to say at the moment as I'm constantly messing about and changing ROMs but I'll let you know. Cosmetically it's not identical to the original but it looks pretty genuine. No retail packaging though.

Someone already has lollipop running of sorts on the S3. Should not be too long nowbefore a relatively bug free release, but alas I think it could well be time to move onto another device.
 
Just got a hand me down SIII it's on android 4.3 is that bad ? also do you have to network unlock it to be able to put custom roms on ?
