Umm well obviously a phone looks worse than a quality DSLR or mirrorless...

You know what...that's a really good point. I just removed the fingerprints I had saved and done them again, already noticing a difference. I hadn't done this since removing the screen protector.

I removed the screen protector this week because it was starting to look a little worn, I then deleted and re-added my single right thumb and it's now instant plus doesn't require much pressure.
 
Speaking of buds, is there a general consensus on them yet? eBay is awash with them and I'd be tempted by a pair. However I already have the Airpods so are they even a worthy upgrade?

I'm really impressed with them, ideal for the gym or going a run. Absolutely no feeling of insecurity in the ear and sounds good.

It'll be a harder sell I guess if you have airpods already though.

I have the previous icon X and I'm blown away, they're so much better. Really impressed.

Interesting. Though the night mode could just be something you can select now instead of only availble in low light. Thus the quality will just be the same as your getting now, but just an option to select it manually. Let's hope that's not the case.

No it will be a specific mode just like night sight that you select that works just light night sight. It's a major camera update with algorythm changes according to this info, not just a movement of the night mode to a dedicated area to select instead of relying on scene optimiser currently which auto selects night mode in the dark.

Given how good the google camera night sight works on the S10 snapdragon version from my usage so far, and how low noise samsung's night mode is (even if it isn't as bright as night sight), I fully expect Samsung's proper night sight mode to be up there with the pixel 3 but neither can touch the P30 Pro due to the RYYB sensor and larger sensor combination.
 
Seen a few people on Youtube installing Google Pixel camera software on Note 9 and S10 with good effect so be interesting to see what Samsung manage to pull off.
