**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S10 Family Thread ****

After much research into the various Android phones out there, I’ve been a Apple knobber for the last few years, I’m coming back to Android with an S10. Should arrive tomorrow but Yodel are bringing it so chances are I’ll never get it.

Anyone fitted an aftermarket screen protector to the s10? Loads of options but would like to use one people recommend.

I caught the factory fitted one with my nail on the edge and lifted it leaving air bubbles so removed it.

Any recommendations for a nice s10e slim case which lines up with the camera bump on the back?

I'm currently using the Spigen Liquid Air and was hoping for something thinner.

Well I'm not in a good mood. Virgin Mobile shipped my S10 to my home address, after telling me they would send it to work, via Yodel and at 1245 today I got a text saying it was delivered, not possible given no one was at home. I went home to check and it wasn't there and no card through the door. I called Yodel and they are looking into it, then I called Virgin Mobile who tried to phone Yodel themselves to get an update. To say I'm furious is an understatement. The reason they will no longer ship to an address other than the account holders home address is to prevent theft of phones. A huge joke given if it had come to my work I'd have it now

Managed to bag a s10e in as new condition off auction site for £485. I had a long think about it between an s10e and s10 but I couldn’t come to terms with having a curved screen as I know it would crack.

Well my phone was eventually found with a neighbour. So much for their security and only delivering to account holders home address.

Coming back to Android from an iPhone, I just realised how much I missed drag and drop for my music and photos.

Why is BTU FW always so late to release?

Ideally, i'd like to be on DBT but i'm unsure as to whether VoLTE would work. Highly unlikely, i would have thought!

Have you had the April update yet?

My HK model has not yet either. Samsung really should just whack the OTAs out globally like Google do. It's my only gripe lol.

Usually a month behind going by my S8+ experience for the updates, so I bet I'll get the April update with the camera changes in a few days too.

Hey guys, i've gone back about 5 pages - what's the best S10 Plus deal? SIM only, outright purchase. I bought my old S8+ from an italian store - not sure if there is a similar trick to save some $$$.

I have an S8+ that is going to repair soon, tempted to sell that and just buy a new S10+

[edit[ Maybe I could go contract. I spent about £15pm with virgin sim only anyway

Going to Hong Kong next week and want to pick up an S10 from a local retailer. What's the deal on the region lock? Does it work the same way as it does in Europe - ie I need to place a call for 5 minutes with a local sim before it will work with my UK sim?

Don't need to do anything like that. My S10e is from HK and all I did was put my Virgin mobile SIM in and it worked right away. I think all this locking nonsense is isolated to US market on some devices.

+1 I agree with Robbie, you don't have to mess with the phone. I put both my EE and Smarty (3 network) sims into my S10E from Hong Kong and it worked straight away and was region unlocked out of the box.

aovVl64l.jpg.png Battery seems to be much better on the Snapdragon S10E. Stats below are with light / medium usage using Wifi only. No doubt this will change when I use 4G when I'm out and about.

I briefly had the S10E Exynos version but returned it after two weeks.

Just a heads up with the Galaxy Buds. Never use just one of them at a time, it will break them. I put just one in whilst walking around a shop and now the second one refuses to connect. Looking online it seems a lot of other people are having the same problem with no way of fixing it. :o

Seeing the s10 plus 128GB for £650 on some sites

"Samsung Galaxy S10+ G975 Exynos 9820 8GB/128GB Dual Sim SIM FREE/ UNLOCKED - Prism Green"

These legit? Anything to be worried about?
