**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S21 Family Thread ****

It's with Three, I found it on a mobile contract compare site.
Ah.... yeah..... Don't bother. The wife got her flagship phone with Three and has spent the past 18 months bitching about their awful call quality and non-existent signal!
Most of the big name places offer about £30 a month for the S21 Ultra handset and then £25-odd for the airtime. Sammy have a free Galaxy Buds deal thing going on until the end of this month, too.

I'm pretty sure I can claim the Galaxy Buds Pro if I still go with Three themselves as it's a participating retailer. I'm also on Three currently, I don't seem to have much issues.

love the galaxy buds pro but...For a lot of people, me included can give you an allergic reaction.

It is not the tips as both myself and the doctor thought, ie an allergic reaction to silicon.(I bought some memory foam tips.
So what actually happens, is i wear them for like 20-30 mins. on the way home from work. get home take them out, within 30 mins i get a clear discharge from both ears, really itchy and my inner ear swells up and scabs up. This can continue for around 1-2 weeks.
It is a well-documented problem. there are countless posts on the Samsung community forums and Reddit.
I am in the process of getting mine picked up for testing by Samsung, as a lot of other people have done.
Also in America, there is an ongoing action suit about this issue.

Some people are thinking it could be to do with the metal charging pins. they changed the design on the buds pro and buds 2(and yes this issue can also be caused by the buds 2 also) The charging pins now stick out and can come into contact with skin. previous versions of the buds the charging pins i think was indented. so it could possibly be a nickel problem. (btw this is the first time i have ever had an allergic reaction to anything, i have used all of the previous buds and currently use sony xm3`s.

I am not saying it effects everyone but a prety big number of people are effected. So be very careful.

From what I remember they've often given the latest Buds free as a sweetener on expensive phones.
Do they all cause what sounds like electrical burn blisters?
Presumably that's what's happening, and I know Apple had something similar on theirs... although that was proven not to be a defective Apple product, it was the users' own faults for not having ears meeting Apple's own standard for human form factors, of course.

In my case it was oozing, itchy scabbing inner ears. Never happened with original buds or the buds +

I tried the Pro's with foam tips but had the same issues so it may be something in the plastic body

Oh damn.. either way, I'm not sure I'd be eligible for the buds anymore, despite me upgrading on the 28th Sep. The phone is getting delivered on the 13th Oct and I still haven't received any order confirmation emails. The promotion ended 30th Sep.

The Buds pro made my ears scab & ooze but my son seems to be ok, unfortunately the buds2 do the same :(

Yes the same with me. i have also been told it's the same for the buds 2 also. As i pointed out I'm pretty sure it's to do with the charging pins sticking out perhaps they are made of some nickel-based metal.(apparently this is the only difference from the previous buds) and my doc did confirm it's an allergic reaction and not a burn.

Samsung picked up my buds pro yesterday to test. i was told by the Samsung person on the phone, it will come back and say nothing is wrong with them. he also said i will be offered a refund. I even pointed out it was a freebie from a promo from the s21 ultra. he said i will be offered the rrp.

It is i a shame i did like them.
So we will see.

I bought my original Buds Pro from the MM. Everything Ok for a few months then the allergy kicked in. A few emails/phone calls with Samsung support & they collected them & gave me a FULL RRP refund.

With the vague hope that I was allergic to the plastic I bought another pair in a different colour but had the same reaction :(. My son now has them , so far with no problems :)

When the Buds2 came out I thought "they'll have fixed the issues, surely ?" but no, within days the allergy kicked in :(

It's a shame, the Buds Pro fitted my ears perfectly and gave the best audio I've had from wireless buds :(
