Installing GOS update now.
Seems like geekbench results are now stable and it was indeed a problem with data/settings being transferred from previous phone.
Will probably just do an install from scratch, painful, but at least can review what’s really needed and lot of apps need activation/password reentry anyway.

The zoom is next level madness. This is just 20x in video mode, the photo mode is usable up to around 70x but 30x is crisp.

I'm now deciding on if I should just drop to 1080p 60fps for both video and pro video as that is just smooth and clean all round. 30fps is a bit jittery when panning still which is noticeable when zoomed in at this sort of level.

Wow that looks pretty cool to be fair, very good examples.

^ I need to playw ith Pro Video mode but still annoying that even though you can use the other lenses, the moment you click record, you lose ability to switch lenses in pro video mode which doesn't make sense as you can switch lenses in normal video mode just fine, same res, same fps...

The final piece of the puzzle was sorted today. The upgrade I had to do to the wireless charging situation in the car recently was basically made for a phone of this size almost perfectly. Just enough room to wiggle it out and/or room for airflow when fast wireless charging.

Edit*
Installed the new update, camera shutter is vastly improved, the obvious delay is now gone?

Yep the update fixed the shutter lag.

My Buds came today, they are quite decent and a sound upgrade from my Jabra Elite 75T. Much more detailed treble.

My only main gripe with Exynos right now is that it's got issues with DJI drone software. My Mini 2 is limited to recording 4K @ 24fps. Going higher results in video freezing. This apparently isn't an issue with Snapdragon. It'll get fixed by DJI.. hopefully soon.

Finally got round to uploading some photos from today's walk around town. Camera's dynamic range is good but I feel at times it is a bit harsh and telephoto lens noise reduction results in detail loss. These are issues that the S20 had early on after release but Samsung refined all that with updates. The S22 seems very good even still, these are JPEG captures not Expert RAW yet so am looking forward to coming months.

I'll be doing a dusk walkabout to get some night lights and stuff when the weather is nice again!

Ive got the DBrand Grip case on pre-order, and a Spigen Liquid Air here ready for when my Graphite S22Ultra turns up. Hopefully any time soon, as the forecast delivery date is supposed to be today.
