**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

Now the fun part (not) of transferring everything and setting up all the banking apps again. Smart Switch doesn't copy over app logins right?
And remember to keep your 2FA details for different things.
I thought I had copied everything over but forgot the 2FA details, it was a right pain in the @$$ trying to log in to various webpages/apps.
With my banking app I have to de register my old device before registering the new one.

Soooo people, havent had a screen protector on the last couple phones
Best to NOT go for a tempered glass type cause of fingerprint issues and that??

I forgot to do that with authenticator. Thought it was Google so would link up, but no.

Sorry was out. The official samsung one.

Comes with everything you see in the picture. The grey stand bit sticks onto the bottom of your phone so the screen protector lines up perfectly when you put it on. Then you have to peel off the 3 sections. They also link you to a video to watch before you apply it:

Don't even notice it on now very pleased! Recommend it.

So my phone has finally arrived. Still waiting for the case, but i had one for Ringke and it s quite nice (same one i had in Note9).

By the way does anyone else have the problem with all the notifications being the same sound? In my note 9 there were different notification sounds for emails, viber, whatsapp, messenger etc I know i can customise this but it was just set with the default app sound and i did not have to do anything in the past. Now everything sounds the same and i find it quite annoying.

A recommendation about screen protectors. I think the best chances of applying a screen protector in order to avoid dust etc under it is to have one ready when the phone arrives. I waited for 1 day and did not open the phone box just for this reason. In that way you have it ready, you take it out of teh box, remove the black film that is over the screen and immediately apply the screen protector. No dust or anything underneath.

And a small question for those of you who use the Co-op app. I get an error every time i try to login. The credentials are correct because when you login through the app it takes you to the website and i log in there without problem but in the app it says that it fails to login. Deleted data and cache, uninstalled, reinstalled, tried with wifi, mobile netword etc.. no luck

Next time back up the 2FA codes when you set them in an encrypted folder on an encrypted external SSD.

A work colleague found a S23 Ultra at the bus stop the other day. Bought it back to work and someone rang it. Theya answered it but don't speak English very well. Anyway they handed ithe phone to us in the office and we have been waiting for the owner to ring back so we can return it, but it hasn't rung. Should I take it to the police station? Will the police find out the owner and return it? Or is there another way? I'm afraid the police will just sit on it.
Is the phone locked? If not call or text them with address to collect from.

Getting annoying now, my phone is on Samsung's order site showing delivery on the 20th (tomorrow).

No confirmation on the order status it is preparing for despatch, no DPD emails etc.

When you go to order it shows next day delivery for both the Red S23 ultra and watch 5 pro so they now must be on stock, having ordered on the 3rd this is now getting silly as stick appears to be everywhere .
