**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

Only 6 months this time around. Has anyone managed to add this 6 months onto last year's 12 months now that's come to an end?

My 12 month Disney sub is up next month, so won't be using the 6 months sub till then.

Seemed to work ok for me after a reboot (tube + black cab last night, and then petrol station + costa this morning). But I'm not convinced it won't stop again...
 
I've been getting mad email spam since pre-ordering the Samsung... all badly arranged characters emails. Don't think I plugged my email into any site other than Samsung. I used topcashback but already had an account on that.

It started with fake UPS delivery emails.

So went to set up my S23U today and I cannot enter my Google account via play or by adding add it to accounts , no smart switch used factory rest twice still will not let me add but it did download google apps :confused:

I've just got my S23 Ultra this morning and I'm setting it up. I've connected it to WiFi and I've used Samsung Smart Switch to transfer apps and data from my old S20+. However, I've left both sims in my old phone for now.

Do you know why the S23 Ultra is showing me signal strength when there are no sims in it?

Pretty normal to just show few bars with no sim in ... 3 factory resets latter finally got my Google account working

Me and you both although I ordered on the 3rd, Red 512gb and Watch 5 pro... went on chat to have a rant and mentioned I can pick these items up although not Red anywhere today/tomorrow.

She said it would arrive on the 20th... we will see
 
A work colleague found a S23 Ultra at the bus stop the other day. Bought it back to work and someone rang it. Theya answered it but don't speak English very well. Anyway they handed ithe phone to us in the office and we have been waiting for the owner to ring back so we can return it, but it hasn't rung. Should I take it to the police station? Will the police find out the owner and return it? Or is there another way? I'm afraid the police will just sit on it.

Maybe wait for it to ring again or take to the Police

Mobile phones are able to make emergency calls with with no signal on the home network, no active plan or any sim inserted at all. To facilitate that it will always connect to some network if one is present in the area. If you pull down the notification area and look at the bottom of the screen it probably says "Emergency calls only"

Thanks for the response. It says "No Sim - No service" however someone else suggested it was related to the "e-sim" allowing emergency calls even though I've not added an e-sim as such.
