**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

That's why I left three 2 years ago having been with them since day 1 for years and witnessing the downfall because they subscribe too many customers!

EE is seemingly the only network that seems to be consistently excellent now.

I have a Choetech dual 18W fast wireless pad and it seems to work great. No fan like the Samsung one and low profile too. My model is not sold any more but a similar one is something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Charger-FDGAO-Charging-Compatible-Gray-AC-Adapter/dp/B0B3RQXNMV/ref=sr_1_9?crid=KTS37MNESK29&keywords=dual+fast+wireless&qid=1677836577&sprefix=dual+fast+wireless,aps,69&sr=8-9&th=1
Went from 3 to Sky/O2. I should have done my research but assumed all networks had London Underground WiFi access. Possibly the shortest time I would have spent on a network, now to find a good priced EE sim only deal.

Edit - Jesus, EE are expensive but I guess that's why they're good.

Well that was a shock, thanks for the code @mrk. Having just paid off my S23U, was quite content on carrying on my monthly phone cost being <£10. I'll have a think but may just have to live with my decision, and it seems that they play to provide 4G on the Underground by late 2024.

7.5V for Apple devices, think its 9V for Samsung fast charge devices. Fast enough for me really, I like how it has 3 coils and I can charge everthing at once.

This is the one: https://www.samsung.com/uk/mobile-accessories/wireless-charger-trio-p6300-ep-p6300tbeggb

Lookin at the shop they do a single 15W charger and a Dual 15W charger as well now.

Had my S23u for a little while now and very happy with it, pretty much what the S22u should have been with the right processor and camera in it, got it all set up how I like now as well:

Yeah absolutely love mine, it's such a polished phone. Anyone noticed their S-Pen unclicking from its housing? Keep having to push mine back in.

Nope mine never unclicks.

Loveeee my S23U more and more every day I use it. Really feels like a complete phone. Everything that was wrong with the S21U/S22U is now right with this one. Deserves all the praise it's getting everywhere, probably the best phone that's ever been made.

Anyone reading this and still on the fence, go and buy the S23U!

That's what I mean though, the optics are too small for it to be a real issue unless you are actually getting misfocusing due to shake or something else. The issue mostly presents itself on telephoto lenses on standalone cameras like DSLRs etc - On a phone camera the zoom lens itself is higher aperture anyways but you would still see the effect slightly, but nothing that's noticeable in day to day use. The wide lens is too wide for this to be an issue. Can you post an example of how your images are coming out?
I was comparing to an app called ProShot which was giving sharper images of text on my speakers 1m away. Not only that but the satisfaction of using a zoom to focus is higher than watching annoying green lines. Even on my Panasonic I disabled focus peaking. It just doesn't feel refined. The option should be there for those that want it. All DSRL/mirrorless cameras have it and all third party camera apps have it so why not Samsung.

Another thing which is super annoying about Samsung's camera app is the inability to keep the flash on, especially in manual "pro" modes. How are you supposed to know the exposure of an image if it doesn't factor in flash? So you set the ISO to 200, the shutter speed to 1/30 then turn flash on... snap the pic and it looks like a floodlight shining at you. A permanent flash is especially useful for dark environments to help with focusing... can't focus when you can't see what's in front!

Ah bugger, well if I keep the S23 Ultra I may look to get that card eitherway for everything else, seems very convenient and I like the auto cashback feature as well as allowing you to change the card it charges for transactions for up to 30 days after.

Just received my Watch 5 pro and setting it up now.

Putting the phone on charge earlier at 45w with Super Fast Charging 2.0 - done 10-100% in an hour which is quite insane:

Managed 7h30m SoT over a 24h period which is might impressive, the SD Gen2 chip doing wonders, idle drain also very good too.

A pleasant surprise so far with the S23 Ultra coming from 13 Pro Max.
What cable is that?

I have this one and it's been reliable

Remarkable battery life experience today.

Had a wedding shoot today so on purpose didn't charge the phone at all today, charged to full last night and left it at that. Used wireless Android Auto on the drive to the venue (an hour) and used the phone throughout the day for BTS pics and videos etc. Then Android Auto again on the drive back. Got home at 9PM with over 31% battery remaining. It's just bonkers good for efficiency.

AND I had dual SIMs still active, both o2 and EE set to 5G. How mad it that.

AND I had dual SIMs still active, both o2 and EE set to 5G.

Can both use data simultaneously? And be set to 5G at the same time?

I only had dual sims for a short period in my S22 Ultra, but I thought only one could be used for data at a time, and only one could be set to 5G. Unless it's different on the S23?

You can set both to 5G, but yeah only one uses active data at any one time so you need to choose which one, although both are kept awake since both can send/receive messages, calls etc simultaneously and both have VoLTE enabled.

Now that is cool, I've popped in my o2 sim and it's nice to see 5G can run on both, shame the o2 signal here is only 4G and only a fraction (50Mbps) of the 5G (235+ Mbps)speed BT (EE) can do.
