those with note 2 should wait for note 3 tbh

s4 would be a bit of a side-grade really

not that much in it compared to note 2.. even s3 is a powerhouse that will run everything you throw at it.. s4 is a good option for people upgrading from s2/buying a new phone.

I don't have a problem with the design really, never did. It wasn't wow amazing nor was it wow my eyes. It just worked.

He means they've barely changed the design. I think they've improved it slightly but it's very much more of the same.

if it was matte black that would be sweet.

It is an improvement over the gs 3 but it is still crap imo. I thought the new pattern finish looked much better on the Chinese prototype but after seeing the final one and more photos it looks just as bad imo. If only they used the same matte finish as the one x/lumia 800 etc. It might actually look nicer/more premium and at the same time "feel" a lot nicer to touch.

yeah i can't stand that pattern finish on s3/4 :/ i prefer plain colours - matte tbh.. gloss on my s2 is still annoying

but over all s4 seems to tick all the boxes in my case.. still leaning towards XZ tho

It's a personal thing - I think theres a huge room for improvement. The XZ and HO exude a premium design. Not perfect by any means but more my style.

XZ is my favourite design wise

one is not bad its right in the middle i suppose.. but it lacks some things that i need from a phone so its between s4 and XZ, i know s4 will be better hw wise its quite obvious tbh but XZ is such a sweet phone and i don't mind the viewing angles and i kinda like the idea of waterproof design(had to change my usb port twice on my s2 already due to rain soaking through my jeans/jacket)

I seem to be one of the few that think the XZ looks bad because it's too square, and the One just looks horrible (the speaker vents on the front, and just the top and bottom part in general)

I didn't like the S3 either, much prefer the slightly more square (but still rounded corners) of the S2/Notes/S4, the colours didn't help with the S3 either

.

Hopefully the next Note is just plain black

.

I admit I don't like the XZ's corners (though I do like the idea of it being waterproof and as grudas has mentioned, had to change the usb port (so not just a gimmick then)), whereas I do like them on the One; however, the S4 looks a little better overall of the three.

Liquipel is now being marketed in the UK for about £50 inc post and a nifty little tin and a treated tissue to play with, at some point I'll try it, just for the tin.

You have no choice it's a postal job, hence the nifty little tin, it's what they post it back in, £50 is about 50p a week for an expected 2 year life span of the phone so not a lot really.

Ah no the tissue comes back as an example, a waterproof paper tissue you can roll water about on it, it looks almost as good as the tin.

it looks like a waste of money at 50.. i think with the % of phones getting water damage the perfect phone would xz + s4's screen + snappie 600 + one/xz design + box contents extended to bluetooth earphones + wireless charger.. a perfect phone.

The pattern on the S4 looks to be the same pattern on the back of the S2. Two things that bother me about the S4 are that it's too glossy and I'm not convinced by the size, which obviously both carry over from the S3. Actually three things: I wish the camera was as good as the 920 in low light as opposed to an MP bump.
