*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

A few people have mentioned dual SIM as a feature.

Where does the second SIM go? (don't point to the micro SD slot)

But as said, this'll only be on the Asian version.

To help with signal coverage. I know in China there's no carrier that has complete coverage over the country yet...

And... yeah apart from the CPU, the phone doesn't really attract me. I was hoping for a design that's a bit more evolved instead of keeping something similiar to the S III. It's nice to see they managed to shave off some of the dimension size though, the S III felt too big for me :p. Guess I'll get myself the HTC One instead!

a bit random, but i'm curious. why does the asian market have such a boner for dual sims?

I think the mobile buying culture is different over there. The phones and the carriers aren't as linked as they are here. The vast majority of people in the west get their phone direct from the carrier and pay a monthly contract that subsidises it.

In Asia, they tend to buy the phone separately and put their own sims in. Hence a lot of people have more than one sim (one network might be cheaper for local calls, and another is cheaper for international for example).

Oh and they're all drug dealers over there.

Anandtech is definitely wrong on the CPU clock speeds.

Samsung will be playing around with clock speeds and big. Little load switcher software for a while yet. Four A15 cores running at 1.7ghz would melt the phone after a few minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if they release the snapdragon version for all markets first.

We've already seen those early Chinese benchmarks being dominated by the A7s if the load isn't high enough or the chip is too hot. (you get similar performance to a 1.4ghz quad core A9, no one's going to notice)

I'd say HTC were better off spending the time marketing their device to the public instead of concentrating on tweeting & retweeting stuff about the S4. Their lack of marketing is probably the reason for their diminishing sales.

Hmm, just had a look through the hands on videos/photos from the sites and actually not keen on that new pattern look........ the prototype device that the Chinese guy had looked better :/

Hmm looks very much like my S3 lol , thinner and lighter is good, but ive never thought of my S3 as big or heavy either, not sure if i will get an S4, might hold off for a few months once its released.

All those complaining saying the S3 is at the absolute limit in terms of size have nothing to complain about then. I have to admit I'm surprised they have managed to keep it that size, if I had an S3 I'd definitely be wanting this but there's nothing that really tempts be over from the Note 2. I just hope we get a 6" Note 3 in the same (or smaller) dimensions as the Note 2! :D

From what I hear it'll be a 5.9" screen. So yeah it'll be bigger by about 2 or 3 mm hight and width. Even if its an edge to edge screen

Nice but still not a fan of flip covers. I'll wait to see what the dimensions of the N3 are, if it's N2 dimensions (or less!) then awesome.

I'm very impressed they managed to make the S4 smaller then the S3. Really good work.

Overall I'm much more impressed then I was for the S3, don't really see why people are referring to it as the "3s" I actually think the design has changed a fair amount certainly more then iphone 4 to 4s... and all for the better. For some reason though I preferred the finish on the leaked phone!

Touchwiz is just horrible though, really really horrible. Really not feeling it software wise.

Just watched some bits from the event and it was cringe worthy, ouch whoever wrote that script seriously lacks any humour at all...
