Interesting that they are distancing themselves from Android although perhaps not surprising as having to launch this years model with last years OS is a bit lame. Maybe long term they will ditch it in favour of their own 'premium' OS - 'sOS' or something.
Listening to the fanboys over the last few months I thought Samsung was the new home of innovation but clearly not - at least Apple are honest about the spec bumps with the 'S' name - this should not be called a 4 IMO.

Actually, it's the biggest spec update we've seen for a while (arguably most of it can't be used)
It just looks the same as a GS3, Galaxy Express, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Pop, S3 Mini etc.

Yeah how dare they! Samsung complete failure. I was hoping for a 4K screen on 4.5" with full 3D without glasses and the capability to roll it up and put it in my pocket. Play all the latest console games and when i watch porn through it i want the porn star to reach out from the screen and give me a hand job
Seriously, what the hell do you guys want?!?!? One of you guys even complained that the curves had been lessened from the S3, which was a major complaint about the S3, i remember everyone wanting it to have straighter edges like the S2. I swear some people just hate for the sake of it

they have topped all the tech as it goes and they still complain funny when i asked one of "those" he couldn't respond with a proper answer to actually say what he expected.. its simply human nature to complain isn't it
The most surprising thing is nobody has yet to complain that the screen is pentile.... Or maybe those people haven't noticed yet
there was a guy complaining about it... at 441ppi you wont see anything lol.

This has much right to be called the S4 as the iPhone 5 does to be called a 5. It's a good upgrade, it just won't feel that different to an S3 (this is what people are getting at I think).

The S3 was a reasonable upgrade to the S2, this is a big, big upgrade.
4.2.2 only came out a month ago.
I'm surprised and glad that it's physical dimensions are actually smaller than the S3 even though it's got a 5inch screen.
The S3 is right on the edge of usable for me any bigger would have put it out of the running for me so it's good to see the screen can get bigger while the phone gets smaller.

tbh it had pretty much every spec upgraded, the design has changed a lot too(yes it keeps the same "language" but its a different phone quite clearly)
iphone 5 looks different too i don't get what the moaning is "omg its just longer" yes it is longer but at the same time it is clearly an iphone yet if you sit there and look for changes you'll notice that the phone is completely different.
never felt that i needed to upgrade to s3 lol, s2 just did the job!

S4 looks like a great piece of hardware but that launch event was the most cringeworthy thing ever. Say what you will about Apple but they really do know how to do a good launch event / keynote. The focus is always 100% on the product and they go to town with demonstrating the features in a way where you can see every stage of the interaction. I also like the way that the actual key players from within Apple give the presentations, unlike those kids and annoying actors!
