*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Hello, Guys I just returned my Samsung Galaxy s6 Back to The samsung uk online store how long does a refund take. (Returned last week Wednesday)

I'm never going to be using samsung uk online ever again. I asked for a replacement device they said they had some error in their system they cannot process a replacement device only refund only.

(UPDATE Not impressed phoned up four times not resolved now going to make a claim with bank avoid Samsung uk online for any refund they are clueless.

Three offered me a discount to buy out of my contract. £91 then offered me a free Galaxy s6 edge and a monthly of £59. I'd be paying £504 extra over my current contract in the 24 month period. Unlimited texts calls and Internet too.

That's if I upgrade early, in essence I'm probably saving £15 to upgrade now. I'm still on the one plan but ill have to go onto a different plan if I choose to change when my contract finishes.

Doesn't seem a beneficial move for me.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 64gb black that I bought early hours this morning has just dispatched and I'll have it tomorrow :) Went for the black fabric S6 S-view case as well.

Can't wait! :D

No it isnt... that's insane. £1416 total. They are screwing you.

Yup seems like a dud deal. I'll wait till my contract runs out and see what's what. I was going to give the phone to my wife as I already have a ip6.

I've seen that very contract for £49 phone then £48 monthly actually from 3, without cashback the cheapest I've seen it with 10gb data, my minimum acceptable, on voda for £40 with £23 for the phone from the smartphone company, who I've never heard of.

So my S6 64GB turned up from CPW today. Absolutely love the device! However it seems Adblock Plus no longer works on Android. Google is absolutely full of complaints of the same, even in ABP forum. I installed the app (non-root) and configured my wifi connection to a proxy of localhost:2020 and set up a new mobile APN with the same, and... nothing. All ads continue to load. The app says it is blocking ads on wifi but they load nonetheless.

Does anyone have any ideas/solutions? My google fu has failed me and this is driving me nuts. It's been nice to have an unrooted device for a change (yay mobile banking works) but I can't live with all these damn ads.

I did install adguard, but it runs itself as a local VPN meaning I can't connect to my real VPN, making it useless. Anyone successfully fixed this? :(

Thats odd, when I tired Adblock Plus it worked for me.

But now I'm using PersonalHttpProxy

http://www.zenz-solutions.de/personalhttpproxy/

And under advanced configuration:

filterAutoUpdateURL = http://hosts-file.net/download/hosts.txt?

reloadIntervalDays = 7

Its more lightweight but blocking without root isn't as effective as I do still get some ads.

Yeah Three's contract prices are insane all round really - only with them for feel at home. Weird as they used to be one of the cheaper options!!

Turn off Video Stabilisation, and never turn it on. It's awful.

Agreed in the options the stabilisation is software, you don't need to use this as the lens is optically stabilized by default all it doing is trying to give a more smoother video, but side effect of this is a strange wobbling effect.

Only gripe for me, coming from iphone 6 plus on Vodafone too is... my Signal is way worse, sometimes it fails to send texts etc in my house was never a problem on the Iphone :S..

Had it since launch day, loving it apart from that.
