**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

From what I've read, the S7/S7 Edge only supports QC 2.0.

Edit: I believe it's because they are using two different CPUs in production over the world, one definitely doesn't support 3.0 inherently, so they dropped back to 2.0. Kinda a shame if you ask me.

It's is a shame but it was only £9 so it isn't a massive deal, at least I'll have a backup charger if the Samsung fails.

I can't find the YouTube now but his WiFi bars were bigger without the moving arrows under it I liked it

Wow that's the first time I've seen it like that on a Samsung - not sure if he's on a custom rom or not.

It's always been like this

Thats stock Android style, definitely not the usual Samsung style. Changed via a theme maybe?

Another US vid here and its stock Samsung.

Surprised that even with 4GB of RAM that Samsung still can't get memory management right.

That is the video I have been waiting for. I was awfully tempted with this phone (see below) with the hardware side but from a usability point of view that is pathetic. No matter how fancy the display, the build, the camera and waterproofing- the whole point of a smartphone these days is that it is a computer in your pocket.

I moved away from Samsung due to this very reason with the S3. I once rooted it with a near stock android ROM Ram management was a peach. Looks like nothing has changed.

It is interesting to see how windows with 4gb of RAM and other android devices don't have to constantly kill apps like touchwiz. I thought unused ram was wasted RAM, what is touchwiz doing with the RAM if not storing apps ready to be used again..!

So basically I'm awfully tempted by this. However, still reports of random touchwiz lag and more importantly with multitasking- apps closing in the background and having to reload again especially games. Sometimes even the stopwatch closes when you have a few apps going. A few videos on youtube showing this, surprised it STILL happens with 4gb of RAM. Anyone care to comment?

Apologies for the rant, this is what led me to iOS.
