**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I think the recent small update has tidied up the palm rejection a bit on my Edge. I don't seem to be getting any false or interrupted inputs off the edges now where I was before, especially in the browser or camera.

I've used dBrand skins in the past, but thought a cool Darth Vader from Slickwraps would look good on my black Edge:

Bit of a mare to get lined up, but looks great and certainly helps with the slipperiness, although it's a shame there's a little white spec towards the bottom of the skin.

There were skins included for every inch of the phone; sides, top, bottom, sim tray, top and bottom bezels. I decided to just go with the rear, camera lens and heartbeat monitor.

I do also have a set of these ordered up from dBrand though for when I change my mind, hard to resist at the price.

My dbrand leather skin is in transit, should hopefully have it by the end of the week.

I haven't had any issues with the fingerprint reader on the S7 Edge, it's probably even slightly better than my S6 Edge was, but that might be because I took some of the tips and registered both thumb and index fingers on both hands.

Its when your thumb has moisture it may have some trouble, well on the s6 it did. Does the s7 scanner work with wet thumbs? Anyone tried?

I think most fingerprint scanners would have trouble working reliably with wet fingers/thumbs. I haven't had it so far with the S7 Edge, but the S6 definitely popped up a message saying to wipe the scanner and/or hands before trying again when they were too wet.

Has anyone gone and stuck the stock UK Firmware on their phone yet? Would that affect Knox on the phone?

Tempted to do mine as can't be asked waiting for slow updates from Vodafone.
It won't trip Knox

My S7 is sim free though I did flash the BTU ROM on my colleagues O2 UK Branded S6 and its been working spot on.

No problem, you shouldn't need to wipe any data as its the same OS but I generally prefer to do a wipe after flashing a ROM on it.

That's what I normally do as well full reset after just to be on the safe side. Just need to remind myself on how to do it using Odin as I haven't done this since my galaxy s5. Fun night ahead for me!
