**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Whats the consensus on nice, slim cases? I dropped my Edge the other day and have a tiny scratch on the screen. I think if it had a case it would've been fine (it skidded across the floor, screen down).

I have a Spigen Thin Fit which I'm quite happy with. It seemed to offer reasonable protection without adding too much bulk.

I only tend to use it if I'm out onsite/walking/riding/drinking though, phone feels too nice to use without it!

Do a thread search or just read the last few pages. It's been discussed.

Also using the thin fit and really like it. I bought the Hybrid too which I expected to be my main and only ordered the thin to make the order over £20 and have a backup. I really like it now though. I don't expect it would offer a lot of protection in a drop tbh but keeps it safe from little every day dings.

So. After a good few weeks with the edge, I'm stuck. Do I keep it or return to my iPhone 6S Plus.

I love both devices and feel more tied to iOS due to all my family and friends (in the UK and overseas) being iPhone users. I think iOS feels more polished in some areas but I love the edge hardware. It's simply the best design out there right now and really delivers.

I am in turmoil.

Exynos 8890 seems to throttle the GPU quite heavily, just over 50% compared to around 8% for SN820 in the below link. E8890 also reported higher temps. Not impressed.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 has a couple of versions.

One with 3gb of RAM and the CPU underclocked to 1.8ghz and one with 4gb and the CPU clocked at the standard 820 clock (2.15ghz I believe).

I can't tell which one is that video because the RAM seems to state 3gb but the clock speed seems to say 2.15ghz.

However, if it is the underclocked version than it explains why it is getting no / less throttling relative to the Exynos.

After 4 years I've ditched my iPhone and and gone back to android - S7 Edge has just turned up :D

I've got a couple of cases on order - the neo hybrid, slim armour and thin fit - so I'm sorted there..

Question is - what screen protector would you recommend? Phone spends a lot of time in my pocket and I managed to scratch my iPhone 6 screen this way. I've read through most of this thread but can't seem to find anything definitive.

Maybe, it's pretty crazy that once throttling kicks in Exynos 8890 is putting out 3d performance worse than Exynos 7420 in something like Antutu which isn't the most demanding of tests.

I hope this isn't an accurate reflection of throttling in demanding 3d games, if it is gamers should stay far away from the international Galaxy S7

But I guess the issue is that long MMS messages won't send when I'm using Wi-Fi, and the Vodafone site says you need to turn Wi-Fi off for them to work. Which is absolutely mystifying to me. Can't think of one good reason for that.
I asked someone who's better with radio network stuff and he says the gateway needs to be able to work out who sent it the request and this doesn't work correctly on wifi :( Same reason you can only setup the My Vodafone app via radio network apparently. Whatever the reason is, it's awful sorry.

Probably the Spigen slim is your best bet as people have suggested, as you want slim. But just to add, I'm very happy with the rugged armor, not as slim obviously but doesn't add as much bulk as many cases

It was easy for me when I switched a few years back as I'd become so tired of iOS. Does it matter what friends are on, aside from imessage but that's no great loss?
