**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Such a huge disappointment....Samsung is apparently not allowing adoptable storage, meaning that everyone in Europe will be stuck with 32 gb minus whatever is reserved for the OS.

Well, I was very close to buying my first ever Samsung phone.

What, no apps installed to SD?

Looks like it's disabled by Samsung.. Custom ROM will get around that but since we're getting exynos support may not be great compared to SD version

Mobile phones really aren't moving forwards very quickly at all these days. No idea why anyone would cough up a pile of cash to swap their s6 for an s7. OK if you're coming from an s4 or s5, probably worth it.

I'll see what the s8 brings before I even consider a new phone.

This might be a deal-breaker for me. I've not used an SD card in the past but I'm getting closer and closer to 32GB with my Spotify library...

While maybe not a deal-breaker, it is certainly a PITA... 16GB is not enough on a modern device, and 32GB is what I consider the bare minimum required for modern apps. To not have the ability to install apps to SD without rooting is pretty annoying, just as is the fact that when adoptable storage is enabled you then cant stick the encrypted SD in a PC which is annoying.

I was an unencrypted SD that can move apps to SD, dammit!

Some people like shiny new things. But I agree with what you're saying. The G5 is probably a more interesting phone.

Anyone got a good upgrade deal on 3? I'm currently paying £40 for unlimited calls, texts and data. But the equivalent is much more expensive now

I'm in the same position, contract prices seem to have gone crazy in the last two years.

I think I'll end up buying the phone outright on a two-year interest free credit card, and getting a sim only deal. But even sim-only the prices are ridiculous.
