**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I was thinking that or potentially the Iphone to sell on for an upgrade.

But the difference just seems too much. I would happily take another S6 as i didnt intend to upgrade at the end of this contract.

To update: Company have just offered 450 pounds to replace the phone instead so I have taken this option. Any recommendations on phones for this price?

Add £50 and shop about for an unlocked s7. only 32gb but they put back the sdcard support.

Definitely this. I wish I could do the same :(

My S6 Edge (64GB) is in for screen repair with EE since 2nd Jan - purple lines on screen, not damaged - but I'm tied into a contract until December. It's very frustrating especially given I pay the extra for the EE phone insurance.

I have had my banks, upgraded bank account and have had to claim on insurance twice over the last 4 years. They have been nothing short of excellent. Quick turn around and no long hold times to call centers. For the cost and the added benefits I cant justify operators own insurance.

Thanks for the replies, I think I will look at the S7 or Z5 Premium.

My upgrade is in the summer and I really hope to go sim only from then so maybe this will work out well. :)

Maybe you're just 'lucky' ;)

There's a Nougat theme in the Samsung theme store, 77p though, but seems quite nice. I wanted something a little lighter than Material Dark and more inline with stock Android. Material Light doesn't exist any more it seems.

You can test drive themes that aren't free for 5 minutes which is nice.

Is there a way to setup the keyboard so it does the same as ios? When you double tap the space bar on ios it automatically makes a space and puts a full stop at the end of the sentence, that possible?

I use and prefer GBoard over Samsung keyboard.

It has an option for double tapping space for that.

Looks better than Samsung keyboard too.

The Samsung keyboard also has double tap space for full stop as well in it's settings. But GBoard predicts better and has more features.

It's not too bad. Went mad and splurged 77p on it. Nice find. Ditto Gboard too. Never noticed it was already installed! Switched from SwiftKey and do think predictions are a little better.

Gboard is just the old Google Keyboard renamed, you may have installed it before and tried it then switched back. This is the keyboard I use. Overall it seems like the best all round.

Anyone had the official update yet.

Do any of the beta users think its improved the performance and what do you think of the appearance / performance @ 1080P instead of QHD?

It's not just renamed, it has built in Google search, gif search, improved predictions, faster response etc. The name change is in-line with Gboard on the iOS version as Apple devices had it before Android.

I tend to have similar issues with every keyboard. I get used to it and slack in checking corrections and slither through messages like a greased up snake in the gutter.

Possibly Tuesday has been rumoured for the start of roll out to none beta testers. Time will tell.......

Got a notification overnight that I had the update to install - finally, I'm on the beta program after all.

However, went to update it and there's no update. Lovely.

My phone did apparently reboot overnight though. Not sure why. I'm still getting the 'This is a beta blah blah' after a restart though, so it's not updated.
