**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Quick customising question.
There are several widget managers - zooper, uccw, kgwt etc
Can they be used together or not?
Just playing around and got a bit confused :)

Other question, will these all work when we get the Nougat update?!

Ghost OTA updates have been reported by various people on the beta, seems to be "normal", which is weird :p

In other news, I have received the Belkin Boost Up 15W Qi wireless changing pad today. I'm glad I didn't pay for this (£60!), because from initial testing, it delivers absolutely no difference in Qi charging power over the Samsung fast wireless charging pad/stand or any other 10W fast wireless pad I have tried, even though the back of the box states it's faster than the Samsung one!

If that wasn't bad enough, it comes with a proprietary AC adapter, so you cannot simply use any other charger or cable on it, since there's no micro USB port on it.

The upshot is that it's flatter and wider, and the surface is all rubbery matte, whereas the Samsung one is mostly glossy.

So basically, if you want fast wireless charging, and want to be able to use any QC2.0 or greater USB adapter and any USB cable, then don't buy the Samsung or Belkin Qi pads.

It's not just renamed, it has built in Google search, gif search, improved predictions, faster response etc. The name change is in-line with Gboard on the iOS version as Apple devices had it before Android.

I know that but if you had Google keyboard on previously it would update to this automatically.

Just got the update, on EE, not signed up for beta. Downloading 1291.19MB.

Anything I need to know? Should I do any kind of reset after the update?

Is your phone unlocked rather than supplied by EE? Can't see EE pushing it out yet though dafter things have happened. Nothing here on my S7 yet.

Personally I always do a factory reset after any major Android update - such as Marshmallow to Nougat, I just think you avoid performance issues and bugs that way and it runs as fast as possible.

No sign of it yet for me, unlocked S7E.

My battery is still Awful.

I have took FB off and replaced it with metal but im still getting less than 12 hours out of a charge.
My top 3 culprits are:
Android System 29%
Android OS 14%
Launcher3 11%

Got to be something wrong with this as I used to get a full day out of it.

Samsung have halted the update in China apparently due to some bugs. I hazard to guess that their ROMs are different to ours what with the extra software and whatnot they likely come with?

Apparently a new beta Nougat has been pushed to Chinese S7s as well.

When I get "unusual" battery drain I delete the Android, LOST.DIR & .Android_secure folders from my SD card which seems to fix it :)
