Got 6.5 hours sot yesterday after first charge with res at max. I'll be sticking with that, I've got s8+.

I noticed it doesn't apply to headphones, only Bluetooth devices. I've not had it enabled for long, but so far I don't get the usual warning when selecting maximum bluetooth volume on the phone.
 
I really love this phone, but can't get over the pink tint along the top and down one side on the right, it's not massively noticeable when not on white backgrounds, but even still shouldn't have it considering the price.

It's not exactly the same model but they're pretty much identical in spec, most improvements are in the image processing part.

More impressions of the s8+

1 The size isn't an issue at all, coming from an iPhone 6s+. Some things need two hands, some things don't. Overall I'd say that the s8+ is easier to manage one handed than the iPhone.

2 Battery life looks like it's going to be ok but not exceptional. I count myself as quite a heavy user.

3 The screen really is phenomenal. I always liked the iPhone screens, but it looks cack compared to the s8 screen.

4 It's fairly smooth but so far it's not as good as even the iPhone 6s+. Perhaps it would be smoother if I knocked the resolution down. It's by no means awful but I don't like to see any stutter

If you need the extra screen then yes? That's the only difference.

It's like asking if the 27" monitor is worth 100£ extra over the 24" model when res and specs are exactly the same...

Well, do you need bigger screen? It's really that simple, it's not really a question of value.

I'm thinking more of the extra battery capacity.
 
Any extra battery will be almost negated by the bigger screen, you might squeeze a little bit more out of it but nothing to rave about, 10% or so at most? It's only just over 15% bigger so you can't except miracles, maybe if it was 3000vs 4000mah or bigger..

For those with the red tint - I just got my replacement handset today and the difference is night and day.... or dusk and day...

Also they told me to just put the phone in the box as that's all I'd get... now have another set of..... $90 headphones.... ;) lol but more importantly another fast charge usb plug :)

feel so much better now :D

Does anyone know any negatives.. Not updated my s8+ yet been using for a full day it's fine.. no lag or red tint. This won't bugger it up will it ?

No it won't, the red tint comes out of the box. more over - can you guys tell me if you got TWO security tags when opening the box? I noticed both had 1 stuck over another which was already broken........

Yeah now that you mention it mine had two tags. Can't see if one was broken or not.

Not a lot in it then. Screen isn't that much bigger either. Will probably stick to the standard s8.
