**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Thread ****

Aha, I didn't even realise, now I'm wondering where else I've posted the "other" screenshot because it appears to be in my saved words list!

OK, so this Gmail notification bug is starting to get right on my jubblies.

Does anyone else have an issue where whenever you get a Gmail notification, you keep getting alerts and vibrations every minute or so until you take action on it? It's driving me mental. Just seems to be Gmail.

Never had that. You on Oreo beta ?

The amount of "bloat" is lower than on Nougat, but there's still enough to require a scrolling screenshot of disabled packages...

Also submitted my first beta bug.

Scrolling screenshots do not capture the status bar icons, even though the status bar area is there. Normal screenshots are fine.

What app is that showing disabled apps. I cant seem to disable Bixby on my S8.

Adhell does not work on Oreo.

I'm using BK Disabler Pro.

BK does not require you to faff about getting a Knox license code or anything either!

This is Adhell2 not the original and some people have already got it working on Oreo. Maybe try read the page.

All that is waiting for is the dev to update the main app and make a link available.

Adhell2 is also free and is a system wide adblocker with disabling capabilities built in.

I have, and AdHell2 (the modified apk) just does not activate my valid Knox license key on oreo, and I was using AdHell 2 on Nougat anyway without issue. It is still under test for Oreo, so I imagine there are bugs.

Adhell2 is the reason i didn't install the beta yet, despite registering. Just waiting for an update from the dev beforehand, rather than trying some of the user fixes, since they don't seem to work for everyone yet.

Hopefully it gets updated soon because it really is good.

It is a bit of a pain about the Knox licencing stuff, but since a commercial licence requires payment this is the only way of doing it.

You can try reducing the notification importance for emails. It's under settings, apps, gmail, notifications and then Email. Under importance turn it down to high or medium.

Well, had confirmation today that my S8 will be delivered on Monday, should be a nice treat for myself!

Currently on an iPhone 6s Plus, and while its still perfectly functional I've been with iOS for the last 6 years and want a change now. I've got a OnePlus One that I got just before the Two came out, used for a few apps that iOS didn't have or had worse compatibility (Such as Carly for BMW, works with a cable on Android but requires a Wi-Fi plug on iOS, much more expensive)

Before that, the S3 was my last "full time" android devide so looking forward to seeing the changes. Also happy that I get a phone with a similar screen size to the 6 Plus in a package similar in size to the smaller iPhone, I realised that I didn't need bigger a la the Note 8 so saving some cash there too.

I'll have to get used to all the new apps etc, although I anticipate a lot will be on both platforms these days. I believe me main email app (Spark) is iOS only though, so will need a suitable replacement there.

Happy days though, quite excited in honesty!

Just done exactly the same switch and I've found it to be an upgrade that wouldn't be matched by going to the current crop of iPhones (even the X). Some great little features android has that iOS does not, and the SAMOLED screen is very good indeed. :)

I saw the Oreo beta was available, or at least got a notification from samsung members the other day. Last night thought I'd give it a go but maybe missed the bus as only first 5000 would get it for now. Not so as I got the download. Seems OK. I can't seem to get Swiftkey to work as it seems to crash though the samsung keyboard is good enough. Also I was using the High Contrast theme and can't get that to work. Anyone had similar issues?
