Maybe one day Android phones will have a system similar to True Tone so the screen adapts to ambient lighting.
Is that not exactly what one of the modes does?

Any issues with banking apps on the beta? In particular NatWest and Starling as I use them most days.
I had problems with Starling and Monzo on and off before the latest beta hotfix. Been OK since though.
When I’ve used Samsung devices in Adaptive display mode it still looks over saturated.
I don’t believe it works like True Tone.
Cheers, I'll give it a go then. I assume you can roll back to 7.0 release if required?

I got mine on release and it's slowed down abit, battery life is going down hill.
Battery life on mine is fine and its nice and fast on oreo beta 3. That could be down to regular system updates but either way it's running good.
I do however have accubattery set to notify me when the battery reaches 80% charge so i can unplug it. It's supposed to help extended the life of the battery. I have my doubts but if there's any truth in it then it's worth doing.
Charging that last 20% is supposed to be a lot harder on the battery. Even charging to 80% I still end up charging it once a day or maybe twice if im really hammering it so that hasn't really changed. The reduced wear from not charging to 100% is supposed to outweigh the wear from any additional charging cycles. We'll see but I had enough issues with batteries on my note 4. At least they were removable!
I'm using Opera. I've found it's one of the few that reflow text properly when you zoom in - you don't have to scroll left/right to read? That said I've not checked others lately. Sync bookmarks and open tabs with Opera on other devices and laptops and find the 'speed dials' handy. Options are sparse and Opera development is as fast an asthmatic slug![]()
