Great I'll give that a try.

Though I can get £200 format pixel so would be £360 off Amazon.

Anyone gone from a pixel 1 to s8? Thoughts?

Samsung recycle are showing £160 for a good condition Pixel plus the £100 voucher, if you can get access to the employee portal works out £319 for the S8 with free starter pack and wireless charger, Good alternative option.

If I get no luck with a screen protector I may get some sort of sleeve, anybody use one?

Am I right in thinking I'd have to send off my phone and wait for the voucher to come through before receiving the voucher? Bit of a pain if so as I imagine it might take some time to process

Nope voucher code is attached to the bottom of the confirmation email.
 
New beta 3 hotfix patch out that fixes the problems with some apps failing to open properly, basically issue where some apps don't connect sometimes bug by the looks of it.
 
Interesting. I was having an issue over the weekend where apps won't load data from the internet. Had it with All4, Google Play Movies and some others. Hope this fixes it.

Thank you for the heads up on this. Traded in my pixel so getting the S8 plus starter bundle for £320. Paypal credit is 0% for 12 months, happy days!
 
Being fresh to the s8 and working my way through this thread, anything major I should probably know or do when I get the phone?

edit: Bit of a silly question, I have an s8 due tomorrow. Not a fan of samsung apps. Can I uninstall or only 'disable' them? If I sued a launcher such as the Microsoft one would it replace touchwiz all together?

TouchWiz is the overall UI skin (now called Samsung Experience). You can't replace it with a launcher - the launcher will just replace the stock Samsung launcher.

Regarding the Samsung apps - I've uninstalled or disabled most of em and the rest just live in a folder in the app drawer. No problems.

Do you get scratches?!

I had a terrible experience with my S6 edge, it shattered the entire screen from a 15cm drop.

I've come across covers with in built screen protectors, I've decided to give it a go but it looks horrendous.
