I'd be careful with the clear view cover case, I had brought one for the S6 and it left lots of scratches on the screen.
Hopefully they've solved this problem for the S8.

Will the phones from Smartphone Company be unbranded or will they be vodafone branded handsets ??
It's not the Clear View one mate, just the Clear Cover, it's rear only.
Do they even brand them anymore? Surely it would spoil the ergonomics of the phone if they did, which is one of the prime selling points of a flagship phone.
Not physically but it will likely have a Vodafone splash screen on start up and some Voda bloatware.

Been thinking of the S8 as S7 edge size phone is great for me, but got thinking about the screen.
If I am watching 16:9 content on the S8 and with the screen being slimmer wouldn't the viewable content be a smaller area than the 7 edge? Unless I crop in?

Its only tiny bit slimmer and the edge is less of an edge (doesnt go all the way to the side like on s7e) so you're unlikely to notice any difference, we're talking 1-2mm in width at most.

Just ordered 2 Spiegen ultra hybrid cases (Matt edge and gloss edge) and the samsung wireless charger.
1 case arriving today, 1 case tomorrow and the charger + phone + tempered glass on Thursday

+1 - i ordered same day and order progress is still sat at 'not processed'..... If they mess me around with the pre-order I'll just ditch them and go sim-free elsewhere
Same, ordered at the start of the conference , still stuck at the not processed state but i must have been one of the first to order.... Surely.
Got a bonus, thought 'sod it' and ordered up an S8 as my new telecommunications device.
I suppose now I need to find a case / screen protector - it's the latter i'm unsure of given the curved screen though. Case will probably just go with Spigen

I have the official silicone case, it's nice, similar to the apple one. Is everyone who ordered direct from Samsung expecting there order this week? I ordered on the 9th

Still no update on the status of my Samsung shop order. Ordered on the 9th too.
All these unconfirmed Samsung direct orders are starting to sound like when I got my S4, loads of preorders were let down and I walked into EE in town and picked one up on release day 
Hopefully that won't happen as I'm part of the preorders crew this time around!

My MPD order is showing as awaiting handset release with an ETA of the 28th, despite saying that the S8+ would be released on the 20th? Hope it's wrong!
