Good to see you back. I had a feeling you would be online over the weekend. Looked out for you(under friends on Vattastic) but your name didn’t show as online? You should have given me a shout.

All good my side. Been flying a lot actually. As mentioned on previous posts, loving the Avro RJ, highly recommend this plane.
Still struggling a bit with landing to be honest. My auto thrust doesn’t seems to disengage and when I disconnect the AP. What’s happening is once I’ve landed the throttles are spooling up again and next thing I know I’m back up to 100kts. On a rwy like London city that’s not good. A bit confused.:confused:

If you go for the MD-11, I have too so we can learn together. I didn’t think the Wilco airbus was that good?

I’m going to rugby on the 24th Nov but only at lunch time, so might join you with one of the first flight times!

I’ve also been doing a few VFR flights. I’ve been using the Cessna 152 as this is the plane I will be using for my first lesson. Saying that, I might upgrade to the piper warrior. Will be good to practise in both if you keen?

I’ve upgraded my Rex too but still having issues, when I click the “create textures” tab it’s all blank. Not sure if they have fixed that yet, as I have not looked in a day or two. I did have ver 28(end number) ver 29 giving me the issues though.

I also seem to be having issues with my Ifly 737(not sure if it’s after the latest service pack)Did a flight last night from Shannon to Heathrow and I was getting all sorts of issues. I was cursing around 290kts and then next min I was doing over 400 and of course getting a overspeed warning. Then I would get altitude issues too. Just dropping to different altitudes with no real reason why. Just strange..:eek:

I am thinking rebuilding my FSX again. Clear my SSD and start from scratch not done it in about 6 months.

Besides the above. All good with me ta. :p

I’m about tonight if you up for a fly can do a bit early if you want say 7.30?
 
ringo747, you're a windows8 pioneer! Is it likely to be a setting in the graphics card control panel? Tessellation, anti-aliasing etc?

I'm glad all is well with you. The 152 is a great plane and I'd love to do some shared cockpit VFR.

We have a house guest for dinner tonight. If I can get her and the wife onto girly chit-chat, then I can make my excuses and go flying. I'm out Thursday, so it's likely to be Weds, Sat morn or sometime Sunday.

If there's a discount soon on the MD11, then I'll buy it... Keep your eyes peeled.

It is a great plane. I have a few questions for you about it but we can go through them when we online again. Don’t mind doing the shared cockpit or we can take one each. Let me know later then. I will keep checking here and see if you can fly. Tomorrow could work. I’m around the weekend too.

Not sure when PMDG will do a discount. They don’t often. Get the RJ, you know you want too. :p

I have a copy of Win 8 but not tried it yet. Might give it ago this weekend.

Ringo, that does look very nice. I do like Flytampa scenery. I did buy London City Extreme, thought it would go nicely with the RJ. I have some photos will upload. I need to try get my photos larger??

V and I took our Cessna 152s out for a spin yesterday evening on VATSIM for a bit of VFR flying.

Bristol Tower was online. We got our clearance to exit the controlled zone at Weston Aerodrome. Not above 2000 ft. Runway 27 was in use and takeoffs were smooth.

After Weston, we then headed north to Newport, Wales and then onto Brecon VOR. We continued north to the Shawbury VOR and made contact with Liverpool Tower south of Chester.

We were cleared into the controlled airspace via the Chester VRP, not above 1500 ft. We both joined base leg on a left hand for runway 27 in for a windy landing. We parked in GA after exiting the runway at Foxtrot, then onto Alpha and then Kilo.

It was all very enjoyable.

After not flying VFR for a little while(well online that is) I got my calls to Tower a little tongue tied but got there in the end. I was also getting a little confused with some of the dials in the C152 and how the OBS worked and how the ADZ dial worked etc. But the hour or so flight we had, it all made sense and fully understand how it works now. Landing was interesting as it was very windy. Landed fine but touched down a little early.

I still don’t think my Rex is working 100%. Hopefully Rex will have a new patch soon. The version I’m running is 1029(last 4 numbers)

I see Flight Sim Store are doing a sale of Razbam aircraft, most are $4.80Au instead of $33.60. Seems a bargain if there is something their you'd fly (if they are any good). Never tried one of their planes, not really my style.
 
So there is a strong possibility that Orbx will be launching EU England this weekend. I love their products and England looks fantastic. Saying that, I will stick with my VFR photo scenic scenery I bought in the Summer sales.

Can anybody help me with the following please . I did speak to blue and he wasn’t 100% sure. When I go to Free flight and choose a plane to use. I click the down arrow to select for e.g. ifly 737. It doesn’t give me all of the planes even though I have “show all” selected.

Any idea please?

You don't have the manufacturer and/or publisher filter on do you? drop down menus, top left and centre of the plane selection panel respectively

I click the down arrow under publisher I choose "Quality Wings Simulations" I see all my RJ70's and all my RJ80's I don't see any of my RJ100's ( I have about 5) The other two options are both selected as "All".
I click the arrow again under Publisher and change to "All" I now see my RJ100's.

Perhaps "Quality Wings Simulations" are no different to Just Flight who can't make up their mind what to call themselves. Is it Just Flight this week or Just Flight Ltd? Makes a mess of the A/C selection screen.

Yes just looked now. A great price too. I was flying around the Pacific North West last night with my orbx loaded for that region and it is so good. They really do quality products.

Picnic you saying some of the planes might be under a different name?
