The 'Official' Screenshot & Tips thread 4 FSX enthusiasts & flight simmers.

Thank you!

The scenery I am using is FTX Global with Drzewiecki Design airports (Krakow-Balice and Polish airports Vol.1).

I am using the FeelThere/Wilco ERJ 145 and Level D 767 with McPhat HD textures and the A2A C172 trainer.

In REX I am using 3D cloud set 49 and Cirrus cloud set 15.
I am using Natural Dawn and Day with these Dusk textures: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6amad16zyl3b1y/Sky-Textures-for-ENB-Series.rar

I am using this with REX Natural ENBPlus.

Been away for work all week, just checked here and saw the T7 is out!! I've got an 8 hour drive from Bridport to Glasgow today to get home, knowing this is out is gonna make the drive longer than it already was. Is it really as good as it looks?

I need to figure out my AA settings, no matter what I try i always get this horrible aliasing on the wings and I just can never get it looking as sharp as these screenshots. Would anyone on ATI recommend Radeon Pro over CCC? I think that has to be my next step.

radeon pro does make AA much nicer BUT it does some funny things to the couatl engine (used in FSDT and Flightbeam airports mainly) which makes it, and occasionally FSX crash. Not tried it for a while though so it may have been fixed in later versions

So I decided to purchase the PMDG 777 because I read about the fantastic feature it comes with and it sold me straight away(maybe not so good for Vatsim )

It's called PMDG Auto Cruise it allows you to speed up your flight so you not having to sit for 13hrs at your pc when you want to fly halfway across the world. I cant remember reading about that feature at all? Very very nice indeed.

One issue I'm having and I am reading it a lot on Avsim is the increase of my VAS. I have noticed that it has definitely increased. I did rebuild my FSX on Sunday so still doing some tweaking and I'm not going to load everything that I had before. It was just causing me all sorts of issues. Only loading planes I really use and airports I regularly fly into.

So will keep an eye on that and see whats its like.

Here are a couple of photos from a quick flight I did last night. Berlin to Gatwick. I watched a Pilotseye video which featured AeroLogic and the 777 flights they do to Hong Kong! :p

Ooooooh 777 goodness..

From what I've used of the T7, it is awesome. I haven't found time to do a complete flight. I've got badminton thrice this week and a busy weekend ahead.

I've set up the FMC and MCP a few times and taken off from Cardiff. And lowered that propeller thing from the underside.. :D

On another note, there's the 'shared cockpit' for the Q400 coming in the 'Pro' version of the Majestic Dash-8.

I'm down to 2Gb Free on my FSX SSD. :p

I think the idea with Majestic is to let you upgrade for the difference in cost. So approx 20 pounds?

I had another tinker with the 777 before badminton last night. The checklist then subsequent air, engine, gear, electrical page is very good indeed.

Thats not to bad then. I think it might be worth the extra 20 quid.

Oh yes, I flew the Majestic last night and did a ILS landing(well if you want to call bouncing the aircraft 10 times a landing :D) I think my issue is that I'm coming in about 150 speed and then dropping it last min and the plane hit the runway very hard! Not good. I need to flare it more and drop the speed gradually.

Going to have another little fly in the 777 tonight.

Seeing as a 737 approach speed is in the region of 135-150kts depending on flap setting and weight, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say 150kts is a tad fast for a dash-8 :p

Having said that, i heard that at Heathrow they like to keep everything speeding down the ILS till 4 miles out and then slow to approach speed. don't quote me on that one though...

I did the same as Vu with the bouncy landing last week. :p

On Vatsim in Jersey, I think you'd have at least 3 days to slow the plane down before the next arrival was due.

I need to get to grips with V speeds and landing reference speeds in the Dash-8. Then I'm sure I'll get the best out of it.

Yes maybe a little too fast :o :p Will keep trying.

The 777 is a fantastic plane, really enjoying flying this bird! Opus are also adding some nice features for the T7.

Did a flight(real scheduled flight) with Emirates from Sydney to Christchurch. Landing just when the sun was going down. :)
