Any of you guys use FS2Crew? It is out today for the NGX. I haven't been simming much this year and am sort of losing interest but an addon like this could maybe make it more interesting again.

I use FS2Crew for the ATR72 which is good, added more 'checklists' to my flying, but still seemed somewhat lacking.... You have to press a button to respond to the lists.

THEN..

I bought the voice one for the i-fly 737 NG and it's awesome. It took a while for me to get it to recognise my voice through the Win 7 Speech Recognition, but now it's working, it adds that depth.

You can talk to ground crew, FAs, and your co-pilot. It came with a virtual marshaller which was a nice bonus.

Commands like 'Start Engine 1', 'Start the APU', 'Climb Thrust' are all there and many more.

If you're losing simming interest, I once again will recommend the CIX Club and VATSIM.

Great shots!

I wish people who post screenshots here listed all their add-ons (and also say if they applied some postporcessing in photoshop)...

Anyone see this announcement from PMDG? Announcement of the 777 which was known and also announcing a new version of the 747 - great news!

Very cool.
I have the 737-800, do you know if any of these will be more 'advanced' in terms of avionics? I'm far from an expert, but the 737-8 that I use certainly seems very advanced.

These will be every bit as advanced. PMDG do things to model the real thing as close as possible. Can't wait for the new 747. The old one was fairly hard on FPS.

What I mean is.. is the 737 cockpit just as modern as the other planes they are releasing? Or will there be more advanced avionics to play with?

:)

New cheaper 'academic' licence for Prepar3d is announced too.

I did wonder when they would back down from their $500 a pop licenses. Am i right in thinking this is basically fsx thats been fixed and runs much smoother?

This could be the ticket to 'FSX-I' (or is it FSX-II).

"Fully Backwards Compatible with your Favorite FSX and ESP Addons"..

If I were to upgrade, it's either this software to run smoothly on my current set up, or upgrade to 2 x quad core CPUS to give my current FSX more smoother gameplay.

I look forward to the PMDG version of the 777. I would love a version of theirs for 1) A320 series including the A318 for EGLC hops 2) A more modern ATR 72, although I'm still to check out their BAe.

There's a brilliant documentary on the building of the 777 on YouTube, which does look slightly dated now, but a great watch.

If some of you have some time, could you possible help me out with what could be a major issue. I have been uploading my FSX screen shots of Photobucket over the past @4 years or so and had a pro account since then. However, at some point over the past week, ALL my screen shots have seem to been reduced in quality, I just done some checking in random screen shots (many in this thread) and especially if you look in screen shots with very even coloured background (ie blue skies or white/grey clouds) there seems a HUGE amount of degradation in quality.

I would appreciate, especially those who seen my screen shots for a while, just to look at some of my old screen shots in this thread and tell me what you think, do they seem much lower in quality? It is like Photobucket has compressed all my uploaded screen shot to a higher compression thus the quality has all but gone!

If this is the case, will need to take this up with them pronto, as I'm a paying customer for their service!

EDIT: Best example is probably the first screen shot I posted in this thread, on the first page the two Falcons, NO WAY did the background look so badly, its completely pixelated.

They look just as good as ever on my screen.
And nothing wrong with theses.

Only ones that look low res are the ones you photo shopped a few pages back.

Can you tell by the image file size?
If you take a screen shot from FSX now & do what you do to it before you up load it, then when you upload it can you see if they have made the file size even smaller.
