Another Gamespy flight done!

VFR EGBJ (Glos) to EGGP (L'pool (RW27 lhc o/head join)) in Beechcraft Barons.

I tell you what mate, I’m in the wrong business. He was with us for 2 hours(so many questions)and a £170 quid later. :eek:

I left you my fsx with all my add-ons and plans etc . Got to be worth £300 quid :p

I'm around tonight from about 7.

I bought the Real Air double pack last night. Turbine Duke and the Piston Duke. Had a quick look this morning before work. Looks very nice.

Let's do a Vatsim but in our own planes. We can choose an area with no ATC just in case I mess up. :p

Don't mind what we do to be honest.

That's fine. I'm confident that we can find a manned airport and use Mumble to get you up to speed with the VATSIM ATC.
 
Last night we did an IFR flight from EGPH (edinburgh) to EGJJ (Jersey) on VATSIM using our 737-700s.

It was to get V familiar with VATSIM ATC.

Using Mumble, we can continuously talk to each other; tune in and talk to controllers on our radios so both of us can hear everything. This means any uncertainty can be easily sorted.

I managed to get away on RW24, but just before my departure, RW06 came into use. So we both contended with different departures.

I cut my flight short and landed at EGGD.

I hope you finished your flight off well V?

I'll be back flying on Thursday evening.

If anyone else is interested in getting up and running like this, let us know. :)
 
I had a great night last night, Thanks again Blue.

After a nervous start and my fsx crashing, I managed to do my first Vatsim ATC flight. Got a bit tongue tied :rolleyes: but the controller was very understanding plus I mentioned in my notes on my flight plan that it was my first time. Also had Blue on mumble to talk me through some of the commands, great that we can do both.

As Blue mentioned he had to divert to Bristol but I carried on down to Jersey. Jersey controller came online plus I could see that there was another plane at Jersey but by the time I got close the controller went offline.

I used Squawk Box to alert the pilot that I was 25nm and was landing at RW 27. Once I was on final I again informed him of this and he acknowledged that he was taking off. I landed perfectly at Jersey, parked up, passengers happy and one happy pilot too. :D

Thursday is good.

Good work on the rest of your flight. Positive stuff.

Hopefully Thursday will be good. I'll have my virtual camcorder at the ready.
