TechRadar really liked it, why didn't Sony put a dual core in it and up the specs a bit? Why oh why.

Not that most people care, but I do :p

The problem is, will it have any redeeming features over the Galaxy S 2? Probably not.

So everyone will have already bought that and Sony will be somewhat stuffed :(

To be honest though, how many people buy a phone based upon spec other then phone geeks?

I SGS2 does look good, but its biggest problem for me is its just too big! As I had the same problem with the DHD. I think around the X10 / Desire form factor is about the perfect size. IMO

I can also have a upgrade due on my Vodafone account as well, so I may get one to test.

More good news:

Now that the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and Xperia PLAY phones are released, some will now turn attention to custom ROMs and getting the bootloader unlocked. In SE’s original announcement, no timeline was given, however developer Karl-Johan Dahlström followed up in the comments section recently and said that they hope to have the bootloader site “up and running in the upcoming weeks.”

The website will be used to unlock the bootloader by retrieving an unlock bootloader key once you’ve entered the IMEI number of your handset. This key will then be used in Fastboot where the actual unlock sequence will be performed. SE is promising more detailed instructions later and we’ll keep you posted once it’s up and running.

 Gee Thanks

I spoke to someone yesterday at the 'Online' upgrade service... they were very apologetic about not getting the phone to me on the 1st... then the 5th... but he did say I Should get it THIS WEEK but he didn't say when!!..

I can't stand having a BlackBerry withouth the BlackBerry service!!.. its not a nice phone and its a truly crap camera!!.. but with BIS... its excelent!! :(:(:(

I want my Arc!! :(:(

Well bloody hell. I was in the vodafone shop which is 2 mins away from CPW. Didnt know you could do that.
Cheers, will pop in at the weekend if its not here. :)

Do Vodaclone lock their handsets??..

Basic reason I ask is I want to have a play with the Bootloader etc...

(once I get my phone that is!!... mumble mumble mumble!)

If you get the phone directly from Vodafone it will most likely be locked, yes.

The battery life is pretty poor!!! 

Listened to music on the way to work this morning – approx 40 mins. Went on Facebook and Twitter a couple of times. Sent a few text messages. The battery already only has approx 55-60% left! It was charged over night, and since this morning the WiFi was turned off, as was Bluetooth. I turned the display brightness right down and turned off the Bravia Engine..

Am I doing something wrong?! The battery wont last me the day at this rate and it’s not even 11am!!
