Sorry its a nickname I use as I used to drive the Bus taking them from Newbury town Center to their Office at the old County Ground...

It was like they were all Clones, wearing almost identical suits, filing onto the Bus in the morning, just stearing at their Mobile Phones and ignoring each other!..

Leave Vodafone, they are a joke of a company anyway.

I have never really had a problem with them as a network provider. However, they way they alter the firmware on most phones is always a bit questionable. So its always worth getting try to get unbranded handset first if you can, another good reason it getting firmware updates first rather then waiting for the networks to approve and then release the company.

I just got my Arc yesterday and I'm enjoying it so far. One thing that is really annoying me is the keyboard. On my Hero I could press and hold keys to get extra characters, ?!" etc without having to switch to the secondary keyboard. Is there a keyboard or something that I can install to get this functionality back?

As long as you use the 2.2 + version. :D

Thanks for that Andy. Not sure if I'm being particularly special but after i've installed it and enabled it and go to long press the bottom left key to change default input method I don't get any options appearing. Am I doing it wrong?

EDIT - never mind, sorted it now, works a treat, thank you.

I cancelled my upgrade with vodafone. I will get the handset from somewhere else now.
Like Andy said I have never had a problem with service or anything really but their upgrades are a joke. I have had 2 bad experiences with them now. But who is to blame as they were both SE handsets so it may be the fault of SE not vodafone ??

I was trying to transfer some HD videos to my Arc last night, just to check out the quality.. I downloaded a couple of trailers in .mov format and transferred them on to my Arc. I created a folder called Trailers in the ‘media’ folder. However, I couldn’t find them on my phone, they were not detected!

I transferred over many video podcasts I had, also in to the ‘media’ folder and I could see and view these no problem. These too were in .mov format.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

have you searched the with file explorer like Astro?

If you are searching them via the built in media player then unsupported video wo't show up. You'll need Rockplayer.

I've never heard of either of those.. Available on the Market yeah?

I thought maybe it was because they were not supported alright, but found it odd that other .mov files worked.
