**The Official Star Wars Battlefront II Thread (PC)**

I got a code too. Was going to preload it before I go to work.... But.......... normal EA, there reedem code page is down! both on Origin and EA account website.... well done EA!

It's so annoying. Got the email last night and should have done it then!

I hope it's not too long before it's up and running again.

Lucky buggers! :p

And no @Copey-GB, no key for me :( Indeed, do they not know who I am!!! :D

If you got sent the key itself, then it shouldn't be locked to your account but if it came with something like "click here to access your beta/invite" with no key shown then it will be locked to your account.

no.. usually for people who have pre ordered!

Did you get one then? :p

I have Origin Access and I assume that's how I got the key. Running an i7 6700K with an R9 Fury X at 3440x1440 resolution and having performance issues. The frame rates are incredibly erratic (range of below 30 to 85 FPS) regardless of which settings I choose (even low settings). I have the resolution scale set to 42 (this is the default and apparently your native resolution which seems a bit random and confusing and I imagine it will caused a lot of people problems - why 42?) but the game still regularly dips below 30 FPS causing the game to stutter and making it unplayable. I've also tried both DX11 and 12 also - 12 seems to perform slightly better but still largely unplayable. On 17.5.2 drivers so it's unlikely to be those causing the problem. Disappointing...

Edit: Ok so I'm guilty of trying to gauge my FPS by the refresh rate displayed in the corner of my monitor - this is usually a fair indicator of FPS with Freesync on however after switching on the Origin in game FPS counter, this is staying fairly close to 68 FPS even when the game is stuttering so it would seem it isn't frame rate drops causing the choppiness. After looking at the forums for the beta it seems it's the servers causing lag and not the actual performance of the game - someone mentioned the only servers are based in the US - don't know if that makes a difference the further away you are or not - hopefully it will improve...
