Graphically it’s lovely, shame the rest of it is crap

Gives a decent over view of the pay to win **** so yeah have fun getting pawned by 12 year olds that have access to their parents credit cards
I have to laugh at his optimism though, out of all the people, he and the ronku whores should know by now, dice/ea don't change a single thing between alpha/beta and final release with regards to gameplay/balance, heck they don't even listen to them when they invite them out to their so called "feedback" sessions i.e. in other words, fly them out to do their PR work.
Give DICE/EA the usual 6+ month to fix/sort their **** out by which time it is too late as most people have moved on to something else.
I have no problems with pay to win if it means people can pay to unlock things quicker.... As some people can spend 24/7 play... where as I cant. So I think its only fair that people with less time can get the kit quicker.
HOWEVER - Being able to add 30-40% extra health or hit rating is beyond..... I do think tho that EA will nerf this at launch.
Either way, the vast majority of pc gamers are as special as console players who usually are kids... So I'm still happy to drop £40 on this .
Can't say I've ever had a problem with previous games for unlocking stuff etc. (BF 1 is a bit more grindy but still not too bad) and same goes for other people, all with various living conditions, 9-5 jobs, wife + kids etc.
Thing is, even if people spend real money to buy crates, the loot is still random.
They aren't getting better gear because they paid for it. They might get lucky, they might get a load of crap.
I made enough in credits during the Beta that I ended up with some decent unlocked stuff (Something like 15% better cooldown for Assault class, 10% more armour on bombers etc)
To be fair, I'm not very good at the game anyway (but I have fun still) , someone with 0% bonus damage will usually kill me anyway so the end result is usually the same whether they have 0%, 40% or 400% bonus
I pretty much enjoyed the beta just for giggles really, never did very well in any of my matches, I think I played about 20-25 matches in total (mix of galactic assault and the strike one) , opened my daily crate each day and by the end of monday I had accumulated 100 crafting parts, which I was content with. I totalled 7,400 "credits" from those matches which was enough to open 7 more crates (1000 each) , which I was also content with given the comparative amount of time played.
You forgot to add "looking after potato farms" in that list
True in some ways, personally I couldn't stand playing a game knowing that someone has such a huge advantage purely because they paid for a ton of loot crates. It is bad enough getting owned in BF games by some OP weapon locked behind a DLC pay wall, never mind, OP weapons as well as OP cards that buff not only the weapon but other areas.....
Addressing player concerns that loot crates could effectively lead to pay-to-win scenarios for Battlefront 2, DICE explained that, "as a balance goal", it's working to implement a system where the most powerful items can only be earned via in-game achievements. Additionally, it will be possible to earn crates - which include a mix of of Star Cards, Outfits, Emotes or Victory Poses - either by purchasing them with in-game credits or Crystals, or by completing challenges and other gameplay milestones.
Star Cards have been another thorny issue during the beta, given that these randomly dropped, dramatically game-changing skill cards have the potential to severely unbalance the game. However, DICE has assured players that they won't be doled out entirely randomly in the final release; rather, their acquisition will be based on individual level.
"You have to earn the right to be able to upgrade Star Cards and unlock most Weapons", it explained, "You can only upgrade or unlock them if you have reached a high enough rank, which is determined by playing the game." Any duplicate Star Card that you receive, incidentally, will provide crafting parts for upgrading the card of your choice.
As game makers, watching millions of passionate players get their hands on our game has been incredibly exciting and – in many ways – inspiring. Believe us when we say that your participation is making the game better, and we’re humbled that so many of you took time to not only try the Star Wars Battlefront II Beta, but to share your thoughts with us too.
The Beta was just a small piece of what we're making. Yes, there’s more content (new locations, heroes, modes, and the all-new single-player campaign), but we heard your feedback loud and clear after the first game. There is more player choice in multiplayer through a deeper progression system and an evolving, event-driven live service that keeps the community together by moving away from Season Pass and having all new gameplay content free for all Star Wars Battlefront II players.
Rest assured, we’re continuing to listen to you coming out of Beta. We’re taking a look at some of the most discussed topics, from Crates and progression to Strike mode (which we're considering changing to a best of three), the Specialist’s Infiltration ability (which might be a little too overpowered) and more. Oh, and the First Order Flametrooper needs some work – we agree he could use a little more... firepower. We are also looking into more ways to allow players to stay and play together as a team – for launch, we’ll have a new feature for you that rewards all players in a spawn wave. These are just a few examples of how your feedback is helping to shape the game.
We know you have a lot of questions about Crates and progression, so we want to clarify a few things, as the complete system was not in the Beta and will continue to be tuned over time:
We also have heard some players are looking for a way to play where all players will have the same set of Star Cards with flattened values. Like everything else, we will be continually making necessary changes to ensure the game is fun for everyone. We will work to make sure the system is balanced both for players who want to earn everything, as well as for players who are short on time and would like to move faster in their progress towards various rewards.
- There are many things you can earn in the game, including weapons, attachments, credits, Star Cards, Emotes, Outfits and Victory Poses.
- As a balance goal, we’re working towards having the most powerful items in the game only earnable via in-game achievements.
- Crates will include a mix of of Star Cards, Outfits, Emotes or Victory Poses.
- Players earn crates by completing challenges and other gameplay milestones, or by purchasing them with in-game credits or Crystals, our premium currency.
- If you get a duplicate Star Card in a crate, you will get crafting parts which you can then use to help upgrade the Star Card of your choice.
- And lastly, you have to earn the right to be able to upgrade Star Cards and unlock most Weapons. You can only upgrade or unlock them if you have reached a high enough rank, which is determined by playing the game.
And you, our community, will play a big role in the evolution of the game. Whether it’s comments on our forums or posts over social media, we’re listening. Your feedback makes a difference, and your passion is what keeps us creating.
Again, we want to thank you for taking part in the Beta and helping us make sure that the launch will be, to quote a certain masked Sith Lord, a day long remembered. We’ll have much more to share with you before we see you on the battlefront in November.
At last
I can overcome my poor gameplay by paying for better weapons....
Might keep me off the bottom ranks
Given I paid £28 back in March for this game via a cd keys It leaves me a bunch to play with!
