Instances are annoy - get in ship instance, small area instance, go in building instance etc but it's not too bad.

I don't mind fast travel as it's a single player game, you do you basically. I've only done the first pirate base mission so taking my time and enjoying it. Sound track is good and I usually disable it :)

I tried this for a few hours today but not really feeling it (so far). Beyond the technical issues such as lacking proper FOV/DLSS/brightness settings for the lut changes which should really be there out of the box...

I was mainly focused around doing stuff on the first planet hub you get to, but the environments seemed uninspired, there is loading screens for the nearby areas pretending to be subway stops, and the various quests I could pick up pretty much amounted to fetch quests.

The maps/loading screens between areas also seem unintuitive, there seems to be be multiple maps you can fast travel on, but the local map lacks any real detail at all and you don't get any kind of mini-map navigation.

Was hoping to get sucked in and actually want to carry on playing, but a lot of the mechanics seem optional and more of a pain than anything. From what I've seen there are a lot of planets to explore/survey/build outposts on, but that seems like it's mostly procedural generation.

I feel pretty directionless as it is, and not really that inclined to want to jump back in and carry on playing.

I've changed my mind a bit, first few hours felt really slow, but after (I'm guessing) about 15 hours in I'm really enjoying it now.

Running great for me as well and pretty much bug free other than one I found if you go to an "Enhance" clinic with a hazmat suit in your inventory.

I can see soo much potential for expansions and modding as well.

With DLSS I'm pretty happy with performance now, it's in the high 60s minimum, but usually higher. This is fine.. Not convinced this was worth the wait, but I'll keep playing for now. Hopefully patches help, can't get any worse..

This one just loves to keep bugging out, every damn time?!

@Nexus18 the HD texture pack has had some additional updates, now installed and there's defo some extra crispness in most of the areas now.

What in the holy hell is that flashlight? Is that a mod?

Had another hour or so on it tonight. Now level 17. Decided to just do the quests I had accepted to clear them out. You don’t get much xp for some it seems. Anyway, while doing one I came across another very interesting one which side tracked me.

Has anyone found the colony ship yet? I thought that was brilliant :D

Can I skip the ship building crap entirely? I have no interest in doing it - Also can you fly between points or do I have to automate the landing etc making the between literal filler?

Don't know how you play with that hahaha.

I'm still on the fence weather or not to try this game, like the sound of some of it but I've read a few people say it takes a good 12 hours to get into, which I very much dislike the idea of. Don't think I've ever seen more contrasting screenshots either, 1 minute I think it looks amazing the next it looks no better then FO4.
