I had a gamepass issue with Forza Horizon 5 where I could never boot into the game, (I tried about 20 different fixes) before giving up.
If you have a save when it was last stable? try going there or is that not possible and it crashes no matter what save you use? I had a similar thing happening with The Witcher 3.

Although I agree, I guess you have to understand that some people just don't have the time and need to rush certain parts along. The issue becomes when they go over board. Increase of say doubling health during the initial 5 hours, so that you don't die so much etc, especially when you may only get 1.5 sessions in, so can feel lost and be poor with the mechanics for a long time.
I "cheated" when playing that board game style crusader kings. Helped understand the game much quicker and allowed a more fun experience, for me to then go back to cheat less at the right time
Same whichever save I use.
I am toying with the idea it's the DLSS mod so I am trying some fixes from the comments there and will report back.

Confirmed for PC (Steam, GOG possibly EGS) and Google Stadia Larian wants BG3 to be the ultimate DnD game. Unfortunately, Larian didn’t reveal when we’ll get to delve into Baldur’s Gate 3. Nor is it clear whether the game will be available when Google Stadia launches in ‘fall’...

Finally setup my new machine today and this was the first thing I installed.
Using a 3400G with an RX7600, looks great, runs great...well, the first 10 minutes did then it crashes when entering the airlock or when the first ship lands in the intro part.
And the coil whine on this GPU with the game is awful :/ Lowering clocks or undervolting doesn't seem to help.

You can also just select the mission from the mission menu, bottom right has a travel to mission button.

does that include console players that are freely playing it with gamepass or just steam?
Bingo. It's just steam, so all console and pc players are not counted in that.

I believe 6 million is the figure if you include all platforms and that was before the weekend.
Need to disable upscaling, had the same crash happening
Loads of people have experienced crashes after using the DLSS mod.
I’m toying with the Neutral LUTS mod but haven’t installed it yet. I’ve not suffered a single crash and I’d like to keep it that way, and that’s the only reason I’ve not dabbled with mods yet as it’s still early days for them.

Thanks, tried that, crashed when loading the save, changed to CAS, crashed, changed back to off, loaded, got through the airlock and the ship landing! Then the pirates landed, and it crashed
I've seen some comments re: CPU usage being high when crashing and as I have below the min spec it might just be that :/

I've tried special k there (since it has all them tweaks already done) as supposedly it is much better than the auto hdr fix/mod but game just crashes on startup when using special k. Seems like it may be down to a conflict between special k and dlss? If so, cba with the faff of doing them fixes.
I think you need to enable dlss in another way. I am happy enough with the way we have it now. Give it more time for the SpecialK one to mature.
Urgh. That would spoil the game. Might as well not bother then, just go watch a few videos and be done with it. Cheats have always killed enjoyment for me. Only time I would ever use such a thing is if stuck for whatever reason which is extremely rare.
