6/10 max tbh, its laborious at times, constant loading screens, little buggy, graphics are dated, the arrows that show the way, appear when it feels like it etc etc, its just fallout in space imo. around 35 plus hrs in,

I find it is ok but not much more than that. . Like above, the more I play the more I feel the engine feels dated and this is exacerbated by design choices on top of it … excessive twirls and animations between menus add unnecessary time and make it slow. The washed out luts add age on top of what looks old engine as well.

Is anyone recently experiencing issues when playing to game with a controller on PC? Mine acting like it is a keyboard and left analogue stick no longer works in game.
I prefer to use controller when sofa gaming.

There's a setting that will auto switch between keyboard and controller but I've found it a bit buggy and have been 'stuck' in keyboard mode when using a controller before (it was fine after restarting the game).

I've nearly finished my 2nd playthrough and tbh that'll be it.
There is precisely nothing at all to entice me into playing another minute.
Yes, there's some mildly magic moments, but there's rather more irritating moments that make me want to chuck the controller at the screen due to what the game could have been.
Still, it filled a week or so before Phantom Liberty arrives, I'm just glad SF was free.
6/10 at best.

I'm on my 4th playthrough.

4/10 at best.

Don't really see the point in the NG+ ending, really doesn't give me any incentive to start over.

Not really interested in the outpost building, the shipbuilder is cool but it ultimately doesn't matter what your ship looks like. Still a few side missions left if/when I play this again... But I'm done with it for now

Especially if you can’t pick new traits.

Whilst your traits are fixed, having tried them out for a couple of hours each, I'm not convinced that they have much if any impact although some are more beneficial than others. I can see why they are optional and all are far superseded by 25+ hours into the game.

Background / Class only really has a notable impact during the first few levels too, although as a Bounty Hunter on my longer term character NPCs make reference too it and very occasionally there is a specific chat option in dialogues.

It's not like Skyrim & Oblivion where class type was/is fundamental to play style unless modding to compensate.

Powers which unlock 1/2 way through the main quest are a game changer though and these can be levelled with each NG+ Universe.

Once I found out that you lose your ship and all your outposts and bases, I lost any interest I had in doing NG+. There was no way I was going to spend hours and hours designing a custom ship and fiddling with all the base building and outpost building and then do NG+ and lose it all.

You get a decent ship, loads of credits available etc etc but yer it's a shame some things aren't saved like ships and outposts.

This was the problem with Skyrim though. Actually getting to end game was really quick and even with the expansions then mod versions.

Took a long time for Skyrim to reach full game maturity.

Their version of NG+ where you could reset skills to keep levelling was a fair few years post initial release.

While I am still enjoying the game after 60 hours (level 43) I feel that it could have been so much more.

I felt the space ship side of things should have been done like the X series.

X4 and the others in the series are unrivalled. I've got the first three on CD still. Very steep learning curves and not that accessible but significant content and brilliant games. Very different genre though.

No spoilers!

Going to try start it tonight :D

Just finished it, you’ll enjoy it. Would have been a bit stressful at a lower level though.

Having put points into ballistics I’m now also levelling up shotguns. Crazy damage even at the lower levels. Perfect for lifting legendaries into the air with gravity lift and then pumping them full of lead.

Onto the industries quests next.

The classic gamer post. Competed it 10 times, got bored, boring game, wouldn’t recommend it.

Funnily enough someone here mentioning X4. Love that game, but see reviews like that all the time. Time played, 1000 hours :p

I only got the gravity ability recently after 50 hours of playing. Only used it once in combat yet

I do feel space and outposts were added as a, if not after thought, then it's very clearly not been given the length of Dev time they needed. There's too many missing features that should have simply been defaults at this time of games. When they remove features that previous games had, you have to wonder what was going on in the code.

There's someone that made a cool factory outpost but still had to mod the game to do it. Something as simple as the floor ended up being over 3k floor mats...

It’s a lifesaver with legendaries many levels over myself. That said, my current armour negates about half incoming damage if I stand still, so it’s all a bit moot now.

I just laser them in the face (yes, still doing that) while using med packs

I really need to switch to weapons now ffs.

I barely use lasers anymore. Ballistics seem a lot more available and upgradable via perks. Maybe that’ll change at some point.

22 hours in and not seen a single intelligent alien, just a few dinosaurs. It's like monster hunter world

Time to do the UC quest line.

The more I play the more I feel that development was cut short. Sort of "stop, put everything together the best you can and fix as many bugs as possible. That'll be all folks!". Which is a shame.

Does feel that way a bit and yeah it is a shame. Could have been so much better. But I still feel some judge it harshly because it is not what they expected.

I mean Cyberpunk was not exactly what I expected on release. Still enjoyed it a lot for what it was.

Happens a lot these days, development costs have gotten too high as have expected features. So many games have released like this, actually, this is better than most.
