***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

For some reason I ended up with 9 murders in my criminal record and I think it was the same fight. It was the other guy doing all the killing and I was careful to only hit him. It’s a bug I think.

When i got into orbit a galbank ship attacked me and i may have, purely on instinct, annihilated it. Forgot to mention that part

Wtf.. I have never restarted. I have safe files up the wazoo. Why would I ever need to restart? Lol

Yeh, I slipped up.

I can normally save scum with the best of them, but got complacent, and didn't realise the consequences of this particular quest.

Couldn't get to completing it without getting ripped a new one by three different mobs! :p

Well that was annoying. Went back to do the main quest and got to the point where you fight thingamajig in NA. Anyway there may have been a smidge of collateral damage in the form of a few dead civilians and UC security so all of a sudden everyone is trying to kill me. Had to go to kryx to pay off the bounty. 60 grand

Did this last night.
Civilian ran past me and took a shotgun to the head. Then got overwhelmed by youknowwho and the UC.
I just ran for the ship on the reload, much easier.
Although I did end up with a 500cr bounty and no idea why.

As for armour, I nabbed the suit in the Lodge, might not have any bonuses but it's better than the Mantis kit and lighter.

There is a limit.

You can only allocate so many power points to each weapon group, plus your reactor has a limited number it can generate.

So you can add as many as you want but there is only so many you'll be able to properly power, and weapons that are not fully powered suck.
Yeah that's cool, just don't wanna loose a weapon if I have 3, I want 3 on the next ship haha!

I finished the main quest last week, I reckon some of you have maybe caught up so have a question but:

****main quest end game spoiler alert******

You have been warned.

Did anyone move to the next universe yet?

I decided not to yet, from what I have read you loose everything and effectively have to start again, but you are given a new ship and weapon, or something like that. I am just trying to find out if there is any other advantages, as not particularly interested in the ship they give you.

Do the mantis quest. Reward is an armour set and a ship.

Cool extra when you enter some systems flying the mantis that have low level pirates that would normally attack on sight, is that they see the ship and flee, with a cool little set of voice lines to match. I tried blasting one but couldn't get their Grav Drive in time.

Will check that out. Not seen it, not never fully digged around in the lodge. I just go there to use my bedroom which has a bottomless safe.

It's in the basement of the lodge in a corner of a room, if you get the angle just right you can collect the suit without having to open the case.

The lodge does have a bottomless safe/container but it's not linked to you like the ship is as far as i know, that sucks a bit as I dont really want to have to head back there every time I need something.

Think I'm going to modify my narwhal to have more cargo, there are some really nice builds on Youtube but the system seems pretty clunky to use.

I think this has finally grown on me a bit now, it was very stale to begin with but I made the mistake of doing too much running around on planets scanning which seems to become superfluous after awhile anyway. That is... dull. Sticking to the various quest lines and bigger side quests is a lot more fun.

It is, using the height option when you move things around really helps, even if it ends up moving the ship out of the centre of the screen. Undo is also very useful .

Took mme 10 minutes just to move by weapons to the front lol, yeah the height option is a big thing I missed to start with.

The more I play, the more I think they ballsed up the inventory sizes. Big time.

I'm sorry, but if you are going to make a game with sixty gazillion different guns and their variants, and an absolutely crazy amount of resources and aid items etc, whilst filling every location with an abundance of the stuff, then you need to give the player a larger inventory.

It turns the game into 'Sortfield' and does increasingly become a chore. I end up overencumbered all the ***** time.

(And yes I've maxed out weight lifting and ship cargo etc, and wear armour that adds capacity).

I have no idea how anyone plays this without the weightlifting and ship cargo increase skills.

I know I could just not pick up stuff, but then what's the point in having it all there anyway? What's the point in items and credits if you just essentially ignore them when out and about?
