Found the biggest bugbso far. I docked at the key and when I got of the ship some of it had materialised in the the key. It was shaking like mad but you could walk through it like it was not there.

Best part was when you looked outside the glass I could see my whole ship giggling like mad. Looked crazy. Funny stuff. I actually don't mind bugs like this now and then. They just make you laugh. Not game breaking and you move on after laugh. As long as it does not happen often it is fine.

Same happened to me when Cyberpunk first came out. Lots of t poses, heads missing, trees going made etc. But never bothered me much as they were not game breaking bugs.

Finished it. Loved it.

Clocked in around 180 hours before hitting the last mission at lvl 52. The last few story missions leading up to the end were really good (one is stand-out amazing and a master-class in environmental storytelling) and a huge improvement over Fallout 3 and Skyrim's lacklustre finales. The actual ending was great too and I felt my character had a good payoff in line with how I'd played them. Overall, this was great stuff and I really enjoyed my time with the game - I'll definitely be coming back to it too as I haven't done the UC Vanguard or Freestar Collective (or Pirates!) questlines yet. There's also that DLC and (of course) mods.

Bugs - weren't too bad I had a few crashes but weirdly only when my XBox controller ran out of batteries and disconnected. Other than that it was mostly trivial character and animation stuff (that should still be fixed!) - I did have a few mission bugs that meant 4 missions (out of the 130-or-so I played) couldn't be completed (which was a bummer - they looked like good missions).

So yeah - about as good (overall) as Fallout 3, better than Skyrim and not quite as good as New Vegas. YMMV of course :)

Wow, isn't that something like 10 hours a day since release?
Been playing since the early launch but uh - no comment :o

Incidentally, this does highlight an issue I have with reviews and reviewers - in my time with the game I didn't go out of my way to pick up missions, they just accrued in a fairly organic fashion, and, over my playtime that amounted to around 130 missions completed including the story ones (and there's still big chunks of the game I haven't touched).

I didn't 'waste' much time either - probably the most dead time was in the ship builder (which was fun!) - I picked up around 10 Crimson Fleet bounties just for the XP to get some skill points I needed. I could have probably shaved off a good 10 hours in unnecessary exploration but at the time I was having fun with it.

The point is, I wasn't rushing to the end, nor was I deliberately wasting time - this game has so much content that I don't see how it's possible to review this as a professional reviewer's typical day job without playing it for weeks/months. Admittedly, the game has glaring flaws that are obvious right from the start but anyone that's just mainlined the story missions has only seen a fraction of what this game has to offer.

BTW, another game I have 200 hours in is Cyberpunk but the last 50 of those has been loading it up occasionally to drive around Night City and murder a few street-gangers just for the lols and eddies (since I finished everything else in that game a long time ago) - so I'd say in total, Starfield probably has at least twice as much actual *game* as CP2077 - whether that game is to you liking is obviously subjective though (I love them both).

Don't believe you. The last guy in here finish it said it was rubbish and even made a post on reddit and everyone agreed with him!

No no, you must be wrong.

:p:D

I managed to persuade to two Starborn to be nice and give me all the artefacts near the end game. I felt like I was missing out and that they both deserved to die, so I reloaded and told them both to do one. I’m glad I did because the multidimensional fight with the three of us was genuinely a high point.

Not got that far yet :)

I only read a few words of your post and stopped. I know little of them just yet as only mission 6.

Getting close to finishing the crimson fleet side quests. Then will resume main quest. So far 66 hours and level 44.

Also, unless I am confusing you with someone else, didn't you block me? :p:D

I did the same as you did initially and was pretty pleased with that outcome
(was near enough exactly how I finished Fallout New Vegas :D)
- obviously I've still got some fun things left to do when I come back to the game.

I did but sometimes I hold my nose and view ignored content. After all how am I meant to laugh at the posts of brexiteers and Trump supporters?

Probs the same way they laugh at remoaners and whatever the opposite of Trump is :D, no I didn't vote.

Scrap that, leave political **** for GD and '******* corner' ;)

I noticed I have more activities in my log than I care to look at, I will only do them by chance, they don't strike me as much more than MMO depth quests.

Nope - well, some might be - but to my recollection, some of the activities spawn quite lengthy side-excursions (like the ECS Constant one).

BTW, if you come across the ECS Constant, either *don't* do that mission there and then or do it all in one go 'cause it's bugged and if you only do a part of that questline you won't be able to complete it.

I tended to wait until I had a few on the same planet (say, Neon) then tackle them all in one go (bloody annoying that you can't easily see where the activities take place). The only ones I couldn't finish were due to mission bugs.

Maybe just got unlucky then as the two I had were classic fetch quests with nothing else. It would be nice if they said what system they were in too, I know you can set as active and plot a course but would be nice at a glance.
