***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

I think two more to add to that are

One is a multiplayer focus, one is a single player focus and one is less story/rpg focused and one is more story/rpg focused.

Something for everyone there in whichever title fits what the individual is looking for.

Definitely Starfield for me, have zero interest in MP games these days.

True.

Worth mentioning that SQ42 is single player, so should be pretty much story focus, most likely a bit linear, but a stronger experience overall (more focused). You should also be able to play SC more or less as a SP experience, hopefully they'll get good, dynamically generated "stories".

I don't have much faith in Todd. This is still funny. Seeing the zero change to stealth in that "deep dive" and basically pew-pew with jetpack and character driven skills (stuff like being crouched in a decent lit room, but "invisible" 'cause you're stealth skill is 100) always makes me lol.

... I'm cautious. :)

empty planets surely just means a blank canvas for modders

I for one look forward to finally visiting rick and mortys boobworld

Boob World has so far been mentioned in 2 episodes, but has yet to actually appear in the series.
exactly...surely its a logical progression that modders are going to create it! they are going to struggle justifying skimpy spacesuits....but they managed it with suits of armour in skyrim so you never know!

Sadly this is increasingly me these days too. Interested in Starfield and also Squadron 42 (single player element of Star Citizen) but not hugely bothered about multiplayer now. I play Valheim for mulitplayer these days :D

One is a janky pile of bug-ridden bantha-pudu that will remain in perpetual "pre-Alpha testing" so long as the money keeps rolling in, the other will be a (mostly) finished game that sees an actual release and gets any of the anticipated bugs fixed in subsequent patches.

That's a bit harsh on Starfield!

Just because Bethesda have previous form for alpha/beta releasing doesn't mean they cannot learn.

And it is an all new setting after all (however, way back when after Daggerfall, Bethesda had those Terminator games based on the same engine. Promised ground breaking maps and there was a demo: guess what? I tried the demo and the ground did indeed break just like it had done in Daggerfall. Falling into the Bethesda void would not fixed until Morrowind AFAIR)

Oh sorry? You meant Star Citizen? I don't know anything about game, sorry.

Lol! I thought you was done regarding this star field and star citizen debate?

Jesus Christ

By the way, there is a massive lore in the star citizen verse. Absolute massive.

I would be surprised if if the story /lore is larger and more complex than star citizen.

I'll leave it as that and you can continue to compare the two games Hehe

I'm always happy to talk about both games to anyone, as I dont favour one of the games over the other so I can discuss without bias, but only happy to do that with people worth talking to, which you are VERY much not. So that post was to everyone else rather than you :D
