I never had a NES, but a couple of my school friends did, so I spent a lot of time round theirs!Being born in 85 the NES was my first console, SNES is still my favourite though. Been an expensive hobby ever since

I’d forgotten about Sega consoles, I never had one, there was big rivalry between Nintendo and Sega, around my way you were either one or the other! Before the NES I had a Master System and forgot the one before that where you put small tapes in it and it had a keyboard. That one was crap.
I count the Sega Master System as my first proper console. Loved safari and the motorbike game which I forgot it's name now. Both built into the console, so was no need for cartridges for those.
But once I got my NES I fell in love with Mario games and it soon became my favourite console. Pretty much had nearly all the consoles are that. But recently can't be asked with consoles.
@Nitefly I had Celeste on ignore on steam. But after reading your posts I picked it up to try on my Steam Deck when it arrives. Better be good!

Great advantage consoles have now over PC is auto resume and auto TV switching on and input selection, makes it so quick to just pick up and play a game.
It is very good indeed. You will need to get to the end of the second chapter for it to bite you.
It will slowly charm you and then… well, it’s an ‘experience game’, so I won’t spoil it for you

Yeh, 100% wouldnt bother. Im seeing a few small bugs with things like brightness and colour vibrance even on SteamOS stable 3.5.7.Bit of a heads up for anyone considering installing windows on their OLED, Valve hasn’t released wifi, Bluetooth and audio drivers for it yet, so probably worth holding off before doing it!
