I'm having weirdness on my steam deck running version slow.

I have a question. Is it normal to have proton 7 on the internal storage, AND proton 9 on the memory card?

Shouldn't I just have proton 9 on the internal storage?
 
Had a couple of odd glitches with mine recently. The bluetooth settings seem to have disappeared from the menu, so connecting my headphones is tricky. And the setting to limit FPS also seems to have vanished. Any ideas? Was this a badly thought through update from Steam? (I'm on stable releases, not beta).

Edit: Ignore - it's been off wifi since I was away over the weekend. Weirdly I've just reconnected to the internet, and those options have returned. No idea why, but at least it's sorted itself out!

I've lost the Bluetooth option before, just completely vanished. I did a reboot and it was there again, no updates or anything at the time

I've noticed this too when using it without internet. The limiter just disappears until you reconnect. It at least remembers last setting when it disappears but inconvenient when you want to change it again.

edit....i am weak and ordered one! guy with a deck put up a video review and said its brilliant. For that money its a go!

I bought an Anker 65W charger, just a charger mind, so I could leave the OG SD charger plugged in where it mainly is next to my bed and have this as my mobile charger for around the house, or when I go to visit my dad or anywhere else. So for me a second charger is only needed because I can't be bothered reaching round the bed to unplug the OG charger every time :)

If I was doing any non house based decking then I would probably get one of these power banks as well.

I moved Proton 9 back to internal storage and the sniper file. It loads at normal speed now.

My only issue now is I think the fans broke. I stopped hearing the fan and the performance stats are showing 0 RPM.
 
I forgot to ask, all these new SD owners, what did you think of the vent smell? You do still get vent smell don't you, I hope so, it's the best thing about a new Steam Deck. Mine has just about all gone now :( I have to give it a really good snort to get even a mild whiff.
