Nah they probably want to wreck our week for us. And they'll probably release it a decent US time so it'll be late Monday evening for us?

I'm guessing since it's still 8am Eastern time there's a good reason for it not being out yet, but it's a bit mysterious that they've put version 1.66A up on their ftp server again today, which is the one that they've previously told everyone not to download because it's not finished
 
Yeah there is a thread on the forums saying its out and linking to Atari's FTP server. The only file in the Test Drive Unlimited folder is the leaked patch. :rolleyes:

So when its back up again don't pay attention to the "Patch is out" thread as thats probably the fake one.

Keep an eye on ftp://ftp.atari.com/patches/testdriveunlimited/. The patch will be there sometime. Interestingly the so called leaked patch, 1.66A, was uploaded today?! :confused:
 
well I couldnt wait over the weekend and I installed 1.66A (which i honestly think will be the final version, I think the original leak was of 1.64A, then Atari decided to leak the correct 1.66A).

I loved this game originally on my X1900, but when I changed to my 8800GTX I got real bad stutters, this patch has removed 90% of the stutter and i'm left with the odd minor micro stutter in cities. This has made the game nice and playable again and I have been having so much fun with it. I had forgotten quite how nice this game is, I mean I know it has arcadey/dumbed down driving physics, but for a quick pick up and play session it's fantastic. I have the Vice City CD's as my custom radio, to get back that Vice City cruising feeling, along with the Top Gun soundtrack CD lol.

If any of you lot apply 1.66A (or whatever the final patch is) then let me know if you wanna meet up in-game, anyone have any clubs I can join ?

I've already downloaded the file that was on the FTP, just incase. ;)
 
In-game says patch available, and just redirects to testdriveunlimited.com - which is useless and contains nothing of any use.

The forums are overloaded, but I have loaded it a few times and there's nothing new so far.

One thing I did see, was someone mentioned it's v1.86... :confused:

EDIT: Now forum is closed until 17h. :confused: :eek:
 
Isn't the patch supposed to be up at 4PM (GMT)?

Guess we wont get it unless people get it and re-host... unless they've got some insane servers :p (which im hoping they have...)

I agree. Its been a complete and utter farce.

And I bet work on TDU2 is underway already with Atari going to publish it. :(
