The **Official** Test Drive Unlimited for PC thread

I doubt it. TDU forums down for 'maintenance'.

"Forums temporarily closed for maintenance...
See you around 17h if everything is ok.

Atari Europe"

So I assume when they bring it back online, the patch will be released.

Also seems that the files on Atari's FTP server is identical to the file located inside the .zip file.

MD5: E9EF063662D41DD05147C6FEEBB2FDF0

excellent, well i'm happy now that the, so called, beta patch that I installed is final and has the same hash as the official one released today.

Time for some serious gaming this evening !

An "Official" patch has still not been released. The 1.66A version that keeps popping up is a beta according to Atari and strongly not recommended.

Hi Zytok, I thought Atari referred to the leaked 1.64A patch, which was leaked first of all, then (someone at Atari) leaked 1.66A to sort things out ?

nope 1.64 and 1.66 are strict no-no's according to Atari. Official patch has still to be released!!!!

blimey charlie, talk about organising a P up in a brewery !
what a farce this is.... arghhhh ;)
tell me about it.....

"we'll release a patch in May"
"ok, we'll release it in June"
"ok, maybe the end of June"
"ok, mid July"
"there you go, a patch"
"ooh, hang on. That's not finished code!"
"let's ban loads of people for talking about it on the official forum"
"ok definitely the 16th of July"
"there you go, a patch"
"ooh, hang on that's the same file as last time"
"let's take the forums down to stop people whinging"

lol that post had me in hysterics.

they really seem to be disjointed and/or have serious communication problems internally at Atari.

I wouldn't be surprised if at 5PM they release TDU2 and/or a patch for it by mistake ;) lol

ETA for the patch release is today at 3pm GMT+1. At the same time, the server will be updated and the rankings reset.

We'll update you of any changes in the plan..................

surely that's 2pm GMT????

Yes.. we're not on GMT we're on BST.

edit: I have installed 1.66A but I don't even know if it's the right one now. I'm having my doubts there is a later version.
