I aint banned and I used it online, but yea if there is this risk, dont use it!, its totally crap and a waste of time, less performance for me than unpatched.
 
I wouldn't say it was a crap patch as i got more performace out of my machine using it. I am running a much different system than most people on here though, 3200xp althon and 7600gs. Haven't gone online with it though, but if this patch doesn't fix the sound problems and other gfx problems for me the cd is getting winged out the window and tdu2 can get stuffed. Atari as far as i am concered don't give a stuff about their customers, the fact this patch has taken forever to come out and the fact that the game was allowed to be relaesed as it was in the first place, bah i think i may have had enough of pc gaming.

any idea if the game works on vista64 with 4 gigs of ram with that patch?

• Anti Cheat measures implemented throughout the game
• Fully reworked save system. Profiles can not be corrupted anymore (note: players will not be able to load a corrupted savegame.)
• Fixed crashes and improved stability everywhere in the game
• Fixed bug when a 'New game' is created with an online profile (remanent information)
• Improved online code (better management of lobbies, optimization of freeride sessions, “isolate” feature of the free ride improved)
• Fixed various bugs in drive in (linked with scores and cars)
• Fixed traffic cars flying around
• Fixed bug on multi-threading code
• Fixed some crackering/stuttering sound issues

thats taken from the readme file in the leaked patch. no info if vista64 is working now.
