ive noticed after 3.8 the voltages have to increase quite abit. for my 8400 at 4Ghz Im on 1.3V with the Vdroop. I think on the bios its set around 1.33-1.34.

I use seti quite abit and 3 work units out of about 30 today have failed to computaion error so my voltage may have to go up a tad.

woo been running over 2 and a half hours stable on orthos now at 4Ghz and 1.4v leav it till tomorrow for a full 12 hour test and if its still good going for 4.2 :)

:D

... just noticed one thing tho... the mobo temp in everest has dissappeared cos i closed everest by accident, and looking at the pic i dont think it could ahve stayed at that temp.. humm, opened her up and shes quite warm, not hot but still warmer than the hs on the NB was earlier... anyway to get it back :p cos i would like to know, and ive tried speed fan but that says its -65 so thats full of sh** hehe

I've RMA'd My E8500 for a refund. My machine was idling at over 50 degrees meaning my tuniq fan was constantly running at max speed. It wasn't the real temp though because the heat sink was always cool to touch.

Back to my E2200 now, probably go quad core next as didn't really see any difference in games etc. So will get ready for when more games use 4 cores.

wooo over 12 hours stable :D think the 1.4 v is fine with the temps :) might try for 4.2 tonight and see how it goes, maye have to turn the fans up a bit tho on the antec900 tho, atm they all on low so happy with them temp :)

Not any more. One guy on XS has had one die after only 1.52v Vcore and degredation seems to set in from 1.425v Vcore onwards. This is quite poor really. There are a couple of guys over there that have fantastic low voltage loving 8400's though.

That's pretty poor. :(

The temperatures on this E8200 are way way off. It reports 32c in bios, one core at 32c and the other at 42c when in fact they are somewhere around -48c.
