** The Official WWDC 2009 Thread **

Quite a few 3G iPhones are going on an auction site for £300-350.

If I got that for mine I'd buy a 16GB 3GS as the xtra £80 for another 8GB would come in handy

£440 for a 16GB

This causes me much consideration... :p

Ditto. Looks like the 32Gb is out the question at nearly £100 more :(

Can't believe it's £50 more expensive than before even after a year. You'd think the price would remain the same but the hardware increase, sigh.

Still a lot cheaper than contract, 500 texts is quite low - surprised it's not unlimited.

Can't decide which is the better option really - 18month 16gb GS or 24month 32gb GS - Similar prices with different Advantages/Disadvantages

Given that they're not allowing pre-upgrades to iPhone customers, you'd be mad to take a 24 month contract now ;)

Thanks to Westyfield2 above.

Thanks for the AT&T pic - ring up O2 UK and quote them that pic or any UK operator and see what they say...

ps3ud0

i dont understand why people are buying second hand on ebay. when they can just buy direcly from o2. i mean if your going to pay £300 for an iphone. you might as well buy it from o2 brand new direct

Thats what I was thinking - but I like the idea of 32GB and on 18mnth is a tad expensive !

So a 32GB 3GS would cost on a £35 contract about £1000 to buy and then pay the contract over the course of the 24 months. Works out about the same as buying it PAYG and then putting £20 onto it each month. Contract way you get 500 free texts, PAYG you get zero.

Interesting times indeed. Thought of spending £1000 on a phone for 2 years is a major investment, ~£45 a month.

Now can some explain to me what tethering is please?
