I'm sorry, I didn't intentionally give a smart reply, it was merely to point out the info you wanted and show that there's a whole thread about just that. I really didn't intend any offence.
That wont happen for a while though, but would be cool.
Of course, but introducing the hardware to the masses makes for a quicker road map its a cheap addition anyway and has uses already

I don't know what the GM stands for, but Im downloading it now. Will install it on my iPhone in 20mins when it's finished.
But if it's only £35 per month that means....oh...wait....
I'm glad O2's pricing for the 32gb model is so crazy. It helps me resist upgrading my PAYG 16gb.
Sorry guess it's just me being mardy. Maybe I really am on the blob :O

It could be handy if you need it the odd month here and there though.

GM stands for "Golden Master" In other words "Final and official Version"
Given that the battery ought to last for the lifespan of the laptop (estimated at 5 years I believe) I'd fully expect Apple to swap it out for free if there were any significant issues arising in the first year or two of ownership.
And going on their previous history of a perfectly reasonable replacement scheme at the end of its lifespan, I wouldn't really complain. Especially given just how long the battery is mooted to last for and how much use you get off a single charge. But maybe that's just me.
How many laptop manufacturers do you know of that include the battery under warranty? Most that I've dealt with don't even give it six months as it's a consumable part. Apple's scheme would seem to be more than generous.

I'd have to pay atleast £150 so it isn't that crazy at all.
In money terms yes - but not overall.

Right guys,
I have an 18month contract i took out with DialAPhone which is due to end in September.
Its on 02 and i really fancy an iPhone 3g on a business tarrif after seeing the 3gs prices.
Will i be able to walk into my local 02 shop tomorrow, cancel my contract, get my PAC code and keep my existing number and take out a new iPhone business tarrif?
Or... will o2 let me pay off the existing balance of the contract and sort me out on a new iPhone contract?
What i mean is can i do it all in the shop or will they help me as im an existing customer?
